  1. Sale has not looked good tonight. Really disappointing inning from him.
  2. That fastball was right in his wheelhouse. Sox still cannot get a freaking hit with RISP. 0-5 tonight.
  3. Mercy, another close call. We'll take it!
  4. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 02:34 AM) Dammit. Should have been a single up the middle if not for hitting off the pitcher's rubber. Jesus. Can we catch a single break??? That was an easy double play ball
  5. Come on Alexei, don't hit into a 5-4-3 DP
  6. If Youk was up, he'd be bunting here
  7. That was an amazing throw by Marson. Looked to be out.
  8. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 02:28 AM) They keep showing it like it's conclusive, but you can't tell if he's tagging him or not when the foot hits the plate from that angle. So you might! Yep, if they had a video from the first base side, it would be a lot more conclusive.
  9. Gotta tie this game up before Pestano in the 8th.
  10. QUOTE (Baron @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 02:23 AM) Is anyone going to lose sleep if we dont make the playoffs? I wont. Not if the offense continues to suck. Right now, they're playing like a team that won't make the postseason.
  11. Sale's struggling against lefties of late, it seems. 91 mph high fastball is far from his best right there.
  12. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 01:18 AM) That wouldn't get overturned based on anything I've seen, including the angle we just saw. If you made me guess, I'd say he was safe, but there's no conclusive evidence of it. If he would have pulled an AJ and not slide, he would have been safe
  13. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 01:16 AM) Call at the plate was absolute bulls***. I can't wait until there's instant replay on close calls in the field of play. Was there conclusive evidence he was safe?
  14. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 01:15 AM) McEwing is as aggressive as any third base coach. It's a horrible decision by McEwing when you consider the Indians missed the initial cut-off man and he was still out.
  15. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 01:15 AM) Dunn and Konerko continue to drive in those big runs. Dunn batting 3rd right now is just a freaking joke.
  16. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 01:14 AM) That was way closer than everybody seems to realize, very bang bang since De Aza's foot was over the bag at first. It's hard for me to call it a terrible send considering how we hit with RISP, but it's a terrible send in general practice. De Aza looked to hesitate a bit going around 3rd and definitely paused before his slide home.
  17. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 01:13 AM) Wow, that was close. It looked like De Aza's foot was elevated, but then he brought it down a split second before he was tagged. Closer play than it looked in real time. I have no idea what he was doing with that slide.
  18. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 01:13 AM) This team can't hit fastballs right down the middle. You missed their inability to hit hanging pitches all last week.
  19. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 01:12 AM) I would give up my entire 401K for Dunn to blast a 500 ft HR and give double birds to the home plate umpire. I would give up my 401k to bench Dunn for Dan Johnson.
  20. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 01:11 AM) Wasnt even "CLOSE" Yes it was, unfortunately.
  21. What a terrible, terrible slide by De Aza. I'm not so sure he touched the plate with his leg before being tagged. Also it looks like he slowed up before sliding.
  22. Why in the hell are you sending him!!!!! I don't care if it was a bad call, that's a terrible risk.
  23. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 02:04 AM) Oh I tend to agree with you on that, but they were still overused. That's more a GM issue than a manager issue. Yep, never finding a legitimate back-up infielder at the deadline was a mistake. I do think Ventura will make some adjustments next year with regards to mixing up his lineups a little more with bench players instead of using Sunday lineups.
