  1. Time for Youk to tie this game with a home run.
  2. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 02:00 AM) Running into outs. Is Ventura reading the Ozzie Guillen approach to losing the division. Let Beckham concentrate on the AB and not forcing the situation. Beckham struck out in the Angels series when Alexei was running on a 2 strike pitch.
  3. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 02:01 AM) Here's the $64,000 question: is the offense choking, tired because Robin has used the regulars too much this year, or some combination of both? And, if think it's both, is it MORE the choking part or the tired part? Combination of a lot of things it seems. Right now, it seems like everyone is way too tight. I also think that refusing to move Rios into the 3rd spot has hurt this lineup.
  4. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 01:59 AM) So pretty much everything is away and straight at about 92-93 MPH but no one can get a piece of it. Awesome If this continues the rest of the year, it will be interesting who the scapegoat is.
  5. QUOTE (Real @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 01:58 AM) lol, awful Will all 50 fans in attendance boo?
  6. How can no one catch up to a 93 mph fastball? Goodness, this team looks so lethargic.
  7. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 01:55 AM) Alexei is swinging for the red line. Swinging like it's April
  8. Alexei's front shoulder is flying open way too much. He's an easy out at the plate.
  9. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 01:49 AM) De aza wasn't good either He has no confidence defensively right now.
  10. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 24, 2012 -> 11:50 PM) Escobar would have gotten a squib hit against us there. But against the Tigers, he strikes out. Figures. If you want to get pissed off, check out his career numbers vs the Sox as compared to his numbers vs the Tigers.
  11. QUOTE (rowand's rowdies @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 12:14 AM) Sox win, Tigers lose. We go up 2 games tonight. Still worried about our chances but tonight should be fine. White Sox 5 Indians 2 Tonight's the worst match-up for KC during their 4 game series, as the Tigers have crushed Hochevar in his career and they got Verlander on the mound.
  12. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 24, 2012 -> 02:44 AM) No, it hasn't happened yet. When it happened in 05, the sox took off. It was like the pressure disappeared. I always felt like Carl Everett's triple the day before they clinched the division was the turning point. IIRC, the Sox lost the first two games to the Tigers in heartbreaking fashion (including Granderson's only career walk off homer). They were struggling the next night until Everett had a huge triple, and they went on to win 16 of their next 17.
  13. Al Al making easy work of the Twins. Leyland's really leaving him in for an extended time.
  14. Kevin Youkilis has let it be known he'll play for Team Israel in the WBC if they qualify.
  15. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Sep 24, 2012 -> 01:29 AM) Notre Dame has a Top 5 defense and Manti Te'o is the best player in college football. They've still yet to play against a team that can pass the ball.
  16. 1-1 in bottom of 5th
  17. Tigers already leading 1-0. Walters is a terrible pitcher. Very, very likely things are tied up heading into tomorrow.

QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 23, 2012 -> 11:50 PM) They're talking about moving Peavy back and not starting him Wednesday? Uh, no you hick. f***ing pitch. That's fine with me. Indians have hit him hard this year. Given their struggles vs LHP, I bet we see Santiago on Wednesday.
  19. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Sep 23, 2012 -> 10:23 PM) Gotta take care of business against the Tribe....IM talking 2 sweeps. Nothing less. Sounds ridiculous but it is capable Gotta go 7-3 IMO to win it
  20. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 23, 2012 -> 10:20 PM) I'll go with BAD. Anything less than 30k tomorrow night would be sad, but like you said, it's projected to be mediocre.
  21. Seems like it's the opposition's 3 and 4 hitters that are killing the Sox of late (Gordon/Butler, Pujols/Morales, Ruth/Fielder)
  22. Overmatched by a superior team this series. At least we get the Indians next.
  23. Rzzza, with all due respect, even if you play the "young guys" like you suggested and lucked out with a win, this team isn't going to make the postseason unless the core players start producing.
