  1. Nice AJ! Find a way to get tying run to the plate.
  2. Brandon Morrow with an incredibly "hit or miss" season so far. Lots of 0 or 1 run performances and a few 6 run performances.
  3. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 6, 2012 -> 03:01 AM) No argument from me on that. He was bad from get go. You could tell he couldn't find his rhythm or really repeat his deliver. It happens. This was just one of those games where you flat out get beat. Happens, especially with your #5 against their ace (and with your best hitter out of the lineup).
  4. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 6, 2012 -> 02:39 AM) How can a 7 time all-star, GG winner, 5 time MVP vote receiver in 10 full seasons be underrated? Who also got paid a fortune
  5. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 6, 2012 -> 01:58 AM) Humber doesn't deserved to be pulled right now. Hell, he was a better pitch call away from a possible quality start today. His struggles were REALLY bad about 5-6 starts ago, but he's been getting by since. I see no reason that he'll be unable to find that command again. The pitch call was bad on Cooper's homer, but he had no one to blame but himself tonight
  6. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 6, 2012 -> 02:54 AM) Command, command, command. He's got some mechanic issues going on right now and its effecting his command on the fastball (and also the effectiveness of his hook). Let me ask you this...how long do you keep him in the rotation if his struggles continue?
  7. ADA hanging in there great against a tough lefty tonight.
  8. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 6, 2012 -> 02:49 AM) He stunk tonight. He is really struggling with his command. It's kinda crazy how much his HR/9 innings, BB/9 innings and K/9 innings have increased this year
  9. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 6, 2012 -> 01:46 AM) 3 of his last 4 games (entering this start), he gave up 2 earned or less. I think you guys are overreacting. He got hit hard a bit after his perfect game (and he's not the 1st pitcher in the history of the game to struggle after throwing a no-hitter or perfecto). His stuff looks fine. You could tell he was just flat out off tonight. I respectfully disagree. He got away with a lot of bad pitches/hard hit balls early in the game against a terrible Tampa lineup, but thankfully he sharpened up after the Sox got to Shields. He got torched by the Twins in the start prior to that. He seemed to be throwing his change-up a lot tonight, and that's usually his #3 pitch.
  10. Hey shack, who are you rooting for in the Tigers/Indians series?
  11. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 6, 2012 -> 01:43 AM) The Blue Jays are suddenly unbeatable and we are conceding this as well as one other game already. Can we at least complain about the attendance
  12. Yay, cancel the post game for Dempster
  13. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 6, 2012 -> 02:34 AM) Cooper seem to imply earlier that we might go to a 6-man when Danks comes back. Tough call on this. Usually you'd disagree with it, but the Sox do need to get more rest for their two best starters. I do think the Sox have to take a long look at Humber's future in the rotation. As I just noted, he's arguably the worst starter in the AL now. If you want to contend, you can't give him too much more rope.
  14. QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 6, 2012 -> 02:39 AM) Sorry that Nestor Molina is not lighting it up with the Barons? Just stating a fact. He did well in his last start
  15. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 6, 2012 -> 02:38 AM) Does anyone NOT want the Indians to beat the Tigers? At what point do the Indians start to become our primary competition? After August 1st? Ubaldo Jimenez finally showed up for a "big game" tonight, but still has a Humber-rific 5.31 ERA for the season. Go Tribe
  16. FWIW, Humber's the worst active starting pitcher in the AL now that Pavano's on the DL
  17. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 6, 2012 -> 02:34 AM) It will be tough to score 2 off of Romero. This just isn't a really good lineup to do a lot of damage against a LHP.
  18. Dempster has a perfect game thru 5...just thought I'd try to jinx him
  19. Humber's just getting destroyed at the Cell this year. I wouldn't be opposed to Quintana getting some of his starts after Danks returns.
  20. Wow, how many 2 strike hits can he allow tonight? AJ, want to waste a pitch instead of throwing the same pitch seemingly every pitch in that AB?
  21. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 6, 2012 -> 02:26 AM) J4L strikes again. This seems like one of those series we just have to be content with one out of 3. Morrow's been pitching pretty darned well this season, and we have no idea how long the "Quintana Magic" continues. I do agree with you on this, as Toronto is a bad match-up for our team. Hopefully PK is back tomorrow, as it's amazing how much more balanced it seems with him in there instead of having Hudson pushed up to the 8 spot.
  22. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jun 6, 2012 -> 02:24 AM) Gameday has been stuck on 1 out in the top of the 3rd for about 20 minutes now. What is the score/inning/situation please? 3-1 Toronto top of 5. Humber's lucky Toronto hasn't scored 6 or more runs.
  23. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 6, 2012 -> 01:38 AM) Man, I wish we had Rasmus. Nice one
  24. What's with all these terrible change-ups being called? That's never really been a good pitch for him. It was just a matter of time tonight.
  25. Humber has nothing on the mound. His offspeed pitches aren't fooling anyone. With the way Romero's pitching, he need to limit the damage here.
