  1. Just a terrible, terrible pitch to Lowrie there. Not shocked he's lighting us up at all after this last offseason.
  2. Hudson is really damn slow now. Indians look to be cruising to a win tonight (Jake Westbrook is freaking terriblet, so Sox need to comeback tonight to avoid losing a game in standings.
  3. Much better balance in Alexei's swing there. Let us love you Hudson!
  4. That was anti-climatic. Got a massive hanger, and couldn't do anything with it.
  5. Alexei either pops it up or tops the ball...very rarely has he hit line drives this year. His swing needs significant work right now.
  6. Nice job minimizing the damage by Gavin. I looked up his numbers, and I had no idea that lefty hitters are just destroying him this season.
  7. AJ has not been picking the ball up well behind the plate of late. Last night, he was struggling big time with Jones' pitches.
  8. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 12:32 AM) Here's what Gavin needs to do...stop throwing fastballs right down the middle to start the count or when you are behind. USE YOUR f***ING CURVEBALL, YOU HAVE IT TONIGHT. Amen
  9. Goodness Gavin, turn your season around! Sox can't keep surviving with him and Humber pitching this bad.
  10. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 8, 2012 -> 03:32 AM) I'd actually prefer the Tigers get that one....I know in the long run they are probably the better team, but I don't want anyone getting too hot...I was happy with the way that series split. Couldn't agree more with you...great post shack
  11. QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Jun 8, 2012 -> 04:15 AM) So you're saying he won't make 40% of the plays? 30%? The ball Bautista hit won't be hit at him every game, and when it is, you can't say he's going to miss all of em. He'll make some of the really difficult plays and some he won't. Like we've seen the last week from him. Some of both. He's had about 7 miscues at 3rd in the last two weeks. For every tough play he makes, he botches a routine play. The biggest problem is that most of his miscues have come in big spots.
  12. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 8, 2012 -> 03:10 AM) Jake could have easily pitched a shutout...he was pretty unlucky in that second inning. Blue Jays hit in the 2nd inning like a computer in a video game that won't chase a single pitch out of the strike zone. Omar Vizquel played a great game for the Sox tonight.
  13. Bullpen did a phenomenal job tonight. Jones pitched over a leadoff bloop double, Reed pitched over Hudson's miscue, and Thornton went through the middle of their order to strand a runner.
  14. QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Jun 8, 2012 -> 03:04 AM) There should be a way of taking this victory away from all posters who were calling for Morel's return. We have a guy here who will make most the plays at third and will provide some semblance of a bat if his career indicates I couldn't be happier they won, but I respectfully disagree.
  15. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 8, 2012 -> 04:03 AM) Extend the Hudson experiment.
  16. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 8, 2012 -> 04:02 AM) Pretty unnecessary risk there IMO I love it after the fact
  17. Nice running by Viciedo! Hit a single down the line Alexei
  18. Nice job Tank! Let Lillibridge run for him, as you should be able to steal against Cordero.
  19. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 8, 2012 -> 02:57 AM) He's having all kinds of problems reacting in time to anything hit pretty well. Yep, the experiment has to end. It's as bad, if not worse, as the Mackowiak in CF experiment.
  20. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 8, 2012 -> 02:55 AM) Let's win the game in bottom of the ninth! You know AJ and company will be swinging for the fences. Hopefully they connect!!
  21. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 8, 2012 -> 02:55 AM) Don't thank me, thank him Nice call Jake
  22. QUOTE (MAX @ Jun 8, 2012 -> 02:53 AM) I don't blame hudson. He isn't a 3B. Not knowing the outs and not catching a line drive hit right at you cannot be excused just due to position
