Ever since Hawk stressed the #1 rule of baseball is catching the ball, the defense has gone to hell. It's like the Joe Morgan bullpen curse.

The Marlins franchise is screwed. That roster sucks now and they don't have a lot of depth in minors outside of Yelich and Fernandez. With the Nationals making the leap this year, it's hard to picture how the Marlins can climb the ladder in the NL East (especially if the rumors of slashing their payroll are true).

Jimmy Butler is far from an above the rim player. He's very crafty around the rim, but he's not an explosive leaper. As for Nate Robinson, at least the Bulls will have fun handshakes during the pre-game.

Something to consider is if the Sox are keeping the severity of the injury private prior to the deadline in order to avoid giving other teams leverage in trade talks? KW saying he expects him back in early September could just be a big bluff.

Sucks to lose a game in the standings, but overall, this was a fantastic week for the White Sox. Just need to get everyone (besides Danks) healthy ASAP.

There's one player on the Sox that I think struggles with the mental aspect of the game, and it's not Gavin. It's the player who everyone predicted would fail in his new spot in the batting order, and he has.
