Flowers is 0-9 with 6 K with RISP

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 02:27 AM) Flowers and Dunn in same lineup is a total failure. Rick Hahn deserves a lot of criticism for not bringing in a better back-up that could give Ventura more options.

QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 02:25 AM) Flowers doesnt have a prayer lmao He's not even being aggressive with his swing. He has to be one of the worst starting players in all of the majors.

Flowers is just incredibly bad. He's not even coming close to having good at bats.

Time for Flower to homer and take advantage of some incredibly dumb managing by Toronto

Leaving a LHP in to face Viciedo??

QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 02:18 AM) If Dunn is a man of his word, I hope this season is so miserable for him, he retires. That would be great. I have a feeling the 2014 White Sox roster is going to look incredibly different than what we see on the field right now. Possibly changes at 1b, 2b, catcher, DH, 2 starting pitchers, etc.

QUOTE (Cali @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 02:17 AM) Doing nothing is just frustrating. Like he doesn't care. The hell happened to the team with great fundamentals and slick defense that came out last season? They absolutely choked down the stretch and it's completely carried over into this season. It's like last year never ended.

QUOTE (Baron @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 01:15 AM) I dont care if you have Jake Peavy at DH right now. Dunn is swinging at everything and isnt making contact. Let me ask you this: do you think the team can contend this year? If you say no, you might as well see if Dunn can salvage the season/career since he has another year left on his deal.

22 pitches to get 8 outs for the relievers, 99 pitches to get 13 outs for Floyd

QUOTE (Baron @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 02:12 AM) Sit Flowers and Dunn I'd still take my chance with Dunn against RHP than Viciedo. However, the Sox desperately need to see what Flowers and Viciedo can do to be in the future plans of the organization.

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 02:12 AM) I realize this is only the first of many road trips, but this team just looks so out of sync, offensively, defensively, managerially. Wish they could hit the re-start. There's no energy at all.

QUOTE (Cali @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 02:09 AM) Good managers aren't afraid to make massive changes in the line-up if things aren't working. Obviously the personel isn't conducive to playing much better than this, but s*** Robin can't trot out the same line-up over and over and just hope for the best. You gotta try something What more can he really do though right now? Truth of the matter is that the team sucks right now in almost every aspect.

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 01:08 AM) What kind of talent does SF have? I bet Bochy would love to have him back. That was another team I was thinking of since Lincecum might have a short leash there and is a FA after this season. With that said, I'm pretty sure Giants have a mediocre farm system now.

Oh Rios, so little opposite field power.

Another great AB

QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 01:59 AM) Santiago...something has to change there. At least give him a start against the Twins or Indians. Well, if the Sox lose tomorrow, I hope Axelrod gets destroyed.

If the Sox continue to struggle this year, Peavy is far and away the best trade chip the Sox have. Call up the Dodgers and see what they're willing to give up for him.

QUOTE (Capn12 @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 12:52 AM) Flowers gets the 3-0 green light? LOL Just let him play out the season and then turn the page on those awful Vazquez/Swisher deals.

QUOTE (Baron @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 12:52 AM) Are you kidding me Flowers? He has a low IQ at the plate

Wow, 3-0 swing results in a lazy pop up to right field. This team is so f***ing stupid.

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 01:49 AM) Serious question: When Dunn is hitting under .100 in a few weeks, do we release him? I would take Dan Johnson over him in a heartbeat

Dunn now 1 for last 25, but he of course will continue to play

Impressive offensive performances so far tonight.

QUOTE (Capn12 @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 01:42 AM) 13 outs recorded, good job, Gavin. Go collect that paycheck. Not a good audition for the team that many think might be interested in him at deadline/free agency.
