Pale Hose vs. Redbirds 6/14/12
Reviewing the play-by-play, and a question: why in the hell was Gavin allowed to face Adams last inning? Adams struggles against lefties, and it appears Ohman had been warming up.

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 15, 2012 -> 01:44 AM) it's the cutter that he's fallen in love with Which makes no sense when you have one of the best curveballs in the entire league. It really is amazing how Floyd/Danks/Alexei never could top their 2008 season.

Pale Hose vs. Redbirds 6/14/12
Tuned in to see another disasterous outing for Floyd. It's really too bad that Cooper never worked on a sinker with him, as that fastball of his is just not an effective pitch. If Danks really had a setback, then this rotation's future for the rest of the year is extremely scary.

2012 White Sox Catch-All thread
Cubs changed rotation around, so Sox won't face Samardzija next week.

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 03:52 AM) You mean the last 3 weeks where he's been hitting .446 ? Even more reason why he shouldn't be so hard on himself when he does make an out. I'm definitely not the only person who's noticed this on the board.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 03:45 AM) Then he pouted again and didn't even bother trying to run. I didn't think he pouted on that last swing, but his body language has been awful for the last 3 weeks.

I have no problem if Ventura benches Ramirez for Escobar tomorrow. It's too bad Dunn won't be playing against the sinkerballer.

3 diving plays by the Cardinals defense won them the game tonight.

Wow, what a terrible swing on the 3-1 meatball. Konerko had a terrible chop swing going tonight, as he should have been doing nothing but try to hit the ball in the air. Choke job by the offense tonight, plain and simple.

Wow, what an incredible stop by Furcal there to save the run. No grounders here PK. Nice job Tank

JorDanks has a better chance here than Viciedo

Nice bunt by Beckham to ensure PK gets an at bat or they walk him to get Rios up

Great at bat by ADA. I'd bunt here with Beckham.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 02:17 AM) What the hell run Dunn that was horrid. Seriously? He's hurt

Damn, wasn't a tough play but still one that's not always made. Scrabble had nothing on those pitches.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 02:15 AM) Do you run Hudson? Absolutely not. Lefty on mound, great catcher behind the plate, and you want to ensure Konerko bats again

Swing hard three times Adam in case you hit it

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 03:09 AM) He is not a FA. Sox hold option on him a big difference. An option that no one in this world believes will be picked up, thus making him a FA.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 03:08 AM) Yep hoping to win tonight because Cards will feast on give away Gavin. Westbrook's been absolutely terrible for over a month now.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 03:06 AM) That's 5 K's for Peavy, and a pitch count only in the mid 80's. Great effort by Jake. No matter what you say about him in the future (about his overall tenure with the Sox), he was certainly gutty the first half of 2012 to keep us right in the middle of things. He didn't just give up and collect a paycheck like many other pitchers might have done in his situation. Why in the hell would anyone do that when they're going to be a free agent after the season is over?

QUOTE (kapzk @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 03:02 AM) They will most likely pinch hit for Lynn who is up 3rd this inning Nope, especially with Boggs and Scrabble getting bombed last night. Major fail in the 7th by our best hitters in not seeing more than 10 pitches.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 03:01 AM) Not just tonight seems they set a new career high for alot of guys in K's so far in 2012. 15th in the majors in strikeouts, so they've really slowed down their K rate from earlier in the year. Sox are 5th in the majors in homers.
