Scherzer at 69 pitches...even if Sox don't score this inning, need to make him throw 20.

Scherzer might be the streakiest pitcher in all of baseball. Pretty sure he was near the top of the list for pitchers with most starts last year of 7 innings and 1 run or less.

Didn't know that Scherzer's been so good during his career vs the Sox. 2.30 ERA against them coming into today.

Scherzer was one of the guys I listed that Fukudome should play against and Viciedo should sit against when Fukudome was signed. However, I understand playing your opening day lineup in the first home game.

Looks like I missed some fireworks. From what I saw in ST and early this year, AJP has a very short, powerful swing going for him. And yes, it's great to have a leadoff hitter with some power.
