So Dunn makes great contact on a ball, and only hits it about 375 feet. What the f*** happened to his power?

Impressive stuff by Reed. Made three good hitters look off-balance at the plate. Still needs to work on not hanging that slider so much.

Rios couldn't have hit that ball harder...not

Ozzie seems determined to ruin the ERA of most of our starters. Embarrassing few weeks for Mr. Don Cooper.

Not really sure why the last few games, Ozzie's left his starting pitcher in to get crushed. Plenty of option in the bullpen in order to bail out Buehrle and Humber.

Ozzie is leaving on a jetplane
QUOTE (Baron @ Sep 17, 2011 -> 01:41 AM) Tell me if I am mistaken but isnt this the same guy that said we traded for Adam Dunn last year? Not sure, but he's usually one of the best in the business

Bob Nightengale says Ozzie's back if he wants to return.

QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Sep 16, 2011 -> 07:23 PM) BigSqwert: And Dunn goes down on strikes again. I'll tell ya, Greg, I'm surprised we didn't see a pinch hitter there. greg775: Well, it was the right decision. The guy makes a lot of money, he's gotta earn it. BigSqwert: But at the cost of losing the game? greg775: If that's what happens, then we all know who to blame. The bum who struck out. BigSqwert: *pause* Greg, you and I both knew Dunn had a better chance of striking out than driving in a run. *pause* *chuckle* Doesn't the manager know that? greg775: I talked to some friends in Lawrence, Kansas, and they said it's always the right decision to play the guy who makes the most money. BigSqwert: *pause* You know... *pause* I wish I could swear. :notworthy

QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Sep 16, 2011 -> 06:53 PM) Alright, I'll give it a shot. GM - RockRaines Manager - Steve9347 Pitching Coach - Kalapse Hitting Coach - caulfield12 Base Coaches - Jordan4Life and fathom Bench Coach - Tex Announcers - BigSqwert (play by play) and greg775 (color) - That would be some interesting listening. God help us in games when we're playing Toronto and J4L is coaching 3rd. Lawrie might have to get a restraining order against him.

Sox playing someone tonight
QUOTE (DirtySox @ Sep 16, 2011 -> 02:57 AM) Cleveland isn't doing us any favors unfortunately. Drafting in the 11-13 range is quite possible

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 16, 2011 -> 02:52 AM) BUT THINK OF THE DRAFT PICK! Losing definitely doesn't hurt right now.

Sox playing someone tonight
Buehrle doing his best to have teams worry about his arm heading into the offseason. Really ugly finish for him. Viciedo is in a terrible slump and Flowers is a joke of a contact hitter.
-
Sox playing someone tonight
It's obvious Quentin isn't healthy yet. They probably activated him to try and help his trade value this offseason, but they soon realized he couldn't swing the bat without pain yet.

Sox playing someone tonight
De Aza should be playing instead of AJP in order to see if he has any chance of being more than a platoon player. I do predict Viciedo homers tonight, maybe even twice.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 15, 2011 -> 08:15 PM) The delivery must have been great "COME ON TIMO, COME ON TIMO!" I was yelling "STRETCH, STRETCH" the whole time...but for a completely different reason

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 15, 2011 -> 09:11 PM) You can't possibly think he was serious? He must not know that I want to go back and rename my son Stanton (I knew I shouldn't have let my wife name him Timo)

You know what's a hell of a lot worse than being Verlander's b**** this season? Being Brad Penny's b****. Sox are 0-5 in games started by Penny this year.

QUOTE (Cali @ Sep 15, 2011 -> 07:51 PM) Why wait till the end of the season? Just fire him now. Let the players each take a game to manage, hell, let Hermy manage one game, who cares at this point? Seriously though, there shouldn't even be a gap between the end of the season and the Division Series. That pink slip should be delivered September 29th. Cause all signs point to them wanting compensation from the Marlins

2012 Manager's Traits
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 15, 2011 -> 07:52 PM) In all reality, who are we looking at here? I have a hard time believing Jerry would open the pocketbook. Is there even any idea of whom KW wants? 5 main candidates, in my opinion, are: - LaRussa - Don Cooper - Joe McEwing - Sandy Alomar Jr. - Dave Martinez Omar Vizquel is the longshot
