  1. For non pitchers, is it safe to say Rios has one of the top 5 immovable contracts?
  2. Can't believe I didn't think of this earlier: Ozzie just wanted to take some of the focus away from Mike Quade's decision to let Pujols beat the Cubs today. I owe you an apology Ozzie...we can't let the Cubs get the media attention, and you went out of your way to get the attention back on the Sox. Thanks!
  3. That's 3 game winning homers by Cabrera vs the Sox in the last few years. It's really time we stop letting him beat us at the end of games.
  4. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:38 AM) I'd be mad about this game but I'm getting a bit numb to this crap. Rios sucks big time. Dunn, I just don't understand...I expected much better. AJ batting cleanup? Ugh. Let's just win tomorrow and at least win the f***ing series. The thing is, the Tigers should have won this game easily. We almost stole a game, but were unable to.
  5. The good thing about Dunn is that if he just sucks this year and next, I can totally see him retiring.
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:37 AM) If nothing else, don't pretend that only a fool would disagree with you. Cabrera looked so bad earlier that I thought about walking Boesch to get to Cabrera. AJP really should have wasted a pitch with a high fastball there. As I mentioned earlier, Cabrera had to know that a slider was coming there.
  7. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:33 AM) Can someone explain to me Adam Dunn, period? He has no confidence at the plate, and he's in between on everything. This is really a bad situation, as the fans despise him already. He's standing so far off the plate, he has to lunge at everything.
  8. So let me get this right...Ozzie calls out Rios for his bad body language, and then he doesn't run out a few grounders tonight? I'll be so disappointed if he's in the lineup tomorrow.
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 03:30 AM) Peavy hasn't cost the Sox all that much yet. Neither has Dunn
  10. QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:29 AM) Teahen, rios, Dunn. that's a lot of money that Kenny Kool has wasted. Peavy
  11. QUOTE (Cali @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:29 AM) This is more of a personal issue I have, but there are so many classless players i f***ing HATE on the Tigers... It's not like that with any other team in baseball. I think Detroit as an organization is full of pricks... Like who?
  12. Definitely one of those 50/50 games. I'm still pissed at Ozzie for pitching to Cabrera, but I know he'll never change his stubborness. VMart goes into the same category at Matt Stairs, I guess.
  13. Problem with Dunn is he's late on the fastball and too early on the change-up. I don't know if I've ever seen a hitter more "in between"
  14. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:25 AM) Valverde's got nothing come on Beckham. He has a fastball, that's all you need. Beckham looks better, but he still has slider-speed bat speed.
  15. Thanks for nothing Adam.
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:22 AM) He's always done that, that's what's separated him from being a constantly dominant reliever. He'd probably be a closer if he didn't do that. Yet he never hung that pitch to Konerko last year. Cabrera's also far too smart of a hitter to throw the same pitch 4 times to.
  17. Great short swing by Lillibridge. Valverde doesn't appear to have anything
  18. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:18 AM) Fixed. I do agree Crain's hanging far too many sliders this year.
  19. Good job Rios. Tie this game up Lillibridge
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:17 AM) Seriously fathom, you're in on this too? You're just going after him to attack here. Hell no...maybe it was fate making my internet not working so I couldn't yell WALK HIM, but Cabrera's just too damn good of a hitter to face there.
  21. QUOTE (Real @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:15 AM) yeah, he's been horrible this year gmafb He's struggled at times getting the 3rd out of the inning. His problem is he's turning into Mike Jackson against righties. He has to keep hitters honest with his fastball.
  22. Dear White Sox organization: Victor Martinez is a good player, but he's not one of the best hitters on the planet. Ozzie, have fun explaining that decision on your next job interview.
  23. Beautiful by Crain.
  24. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:38 AM) That's a really difficult angle for them to hit though, especially on offspeed stuff. His problem right now is release point. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he's tipping pitches as well considering how he struggles to find his release point every outing. I thought that too last year, but it seems his arm angle has flattened out and his fastball looks like a balloon to righties.
