Oh ok...good to know we traded other future MLB'ers along with Swish for that great haul we got back...
There's two players from that trade in this game...and both are on the Royals. Still a shockingly bad trade.

Games like this are going to kill me throughout the year. If we were really going "all in", we should have brought Jenks back in the bullpen to make it easier.
Well, it took 4 games for this post.

Currently there is a command issue with our relievers. Getting into hitters counts constantly is a recipe for problems. You have to figure that they will get better at it.
Sale had two pretty easy chances to put Gordon away with the slider, and missed with a fastball and then with the slider.

They should have signed a lefty instead of hindering Sale's devleopment as a starter. Sale has a chance to be an ace if he can stay healthy with those mechanics.
They did...but he's been Oh-ful so far.

Gordon and Butler both feast on Sale fastballs. Anybody worried about Sale's stuff?
It's his command, as well as throwing a meatball to their best hitter when the last thing you should ever throw is a fastball.

It appears only Danks had his good stuff thus far among all our starters. Yet, none have allowed more than 4 runs. I'd say that's decent.
It's all around baseball though. Very few pitchers I've seen have looked on in their first start.
