QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Sep 9, 2010 -> 01:47 AM) What has Quade done? Haven't had much time to see what the Cubs are doing. Benched Castro for 2 games cause he didn't know how many outs there were in an inning. -

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 9, 2010 -> 02:32 AM) Ozzie doesn't work that way. He benches players out in the court of public opinion, then he goes back on his benching and plays them anyway. He is like a small dog. Lots of bark, no bite. Mike Quade's shown more balls in 3 weeks than Ozzie has in the last 3 years when it comes to handling players. Duensing mowing down the Royals now. At least we no longer hear from people how the Sox starting pitching staff is far superior than that of the Twins. -

Twins with 3 runs in a 2 minute span. 5.5 back looking more likely...just a terrible last 26 hours. -

QUOTE (Pale Sox @ Sep 9, 2010 -> 01:11 AM) I think we're going to hear some interesting post game comments from Ozzie. You find his comments interesting still? -

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 9, 2010 -> 02:00 AM) AJ was on the radio today talking about how if they win 90 and lose the division its not so bad. They will be upset that they lost and all, but 90 wins. yeah. So basically we fattened up on a good stretch against the NL, played like crap for months at a time this year. Our first two months of the season, and our record against bad teams and our division are the tombstones on our playoff chances this year. We are running out of time and our team is taking it in the pooper. Yep, heard the same thing and made me sick. It's so time for a change of leadership, starting with the manager and including some of the veterans. -

No one answered my question about Teahen's 2nd error. This is a pull baseball special it seems. -

Listening to 30 mintues of this game on the radio, DJ and Farmer were blasting the Sox performance tonight. Saying how awful the defense positioning is. They seemed especially frustrated with Rios. -

Was Teahen's second error on a play that would have been a double play? As someone mentioned earlier, it's really no shock the Sox went on a good run when he got hurt. I don't know how we managed to overcome the loss of his amazing power, contact ability, and defense. Also, I'm really frustrated by Ozzie playing guys who don't match-up well against the pitcher. Andruw Jones vs Bonderman's slider is a recipe for disaster. If anything, play him tomorrow against Porcello's sinker. -

QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Sep 8, 2010 -> 11:37 PM) I only saw his one at bat yesterday, and he didn't look great. Are his numbers low in the minors? His numbers were good in the minors. -

QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Sep 9, 2010 -> 12:34 AM) Fine by me. You'd think Morel or Viciedo will be ready for 3rd next year.. Well, Viciedo has to play somewhere on the big league team or KW really screwed up not trading him when his value was huge at the deadline. Count me off the Morel bandwagon...I don't think he's strong enough to hit in the majors. -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 9, 2010 -> 12:34 AM) Cy Bonderman??? 32 pitches thru 3 innings. Is this team ever going to hit a home run again? -

QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Sep 9, 2010 -> 12:31 AM) Okay, but who would take him? Well, at least you'd figure we'd get nothing back for him. I'd glady take getting his contract off the books without getting talent back. -

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Sep 8, 2010 -> 11:27 PM) I am having some serious doubts about whether Teahan can play 3B. Is Joe Crede available next year? I said it yesterday, but Teahen needs to go this offseason. He's just a terrible fit with this team, and is making way too much money for someone that doesn't appear to deserve to be starting. -

QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Sep 9, 2010 -> 12:18 AM) Five pitches three outs. Awful. Bonderman, who is pretty much awful, making it look way too easy. -
QUOTE (Friend of Nordhagen @ Sep 8, 2010 -> 02:58 AM) That's a big bunch of whopping f***ing bulls*** (as it was when he was here). He's valuable because his OPS is about 1000. Fathom, not picking on you -- just have never believed that crap. I would agree with you on 99% of the players...but Thome might be the exception. I enjoyed hearing the story from Hudson about how Thome bought clothes for all of the younger players last season.
-
Any word on Manny?
-
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 6, 2010 -> 09:52 PM) In his last 590 AL AB, Thome has 44 homers, 125 RBI and 119 BB. I don't know how you turn that down for $1.5 million. KC annnouncers talked for 5 minutes today about how valuable Thome has been in the Twins locker room.
-
QUOTE (IamtheHBOMB @ Sep 8, 2010 -> 01:57 AM) So, I'm going to the last game of the Twins series in like a week and a half. I really have no idea where this team will be in the standings at that point. Thoughts? 5 games out would be my guess.
-
QUOTE (dmbjeff @ Sep 8, 2010 -> 01:54 AM) viciedo looks to be the only real hitter out of the last 3 i think. morel and flowers i think will be bad. Morel looked beyond brutal during Spring Training, but his swing looked a little better in that AB (despite the 2nd pitch). Flowers is pretty much awful...it would be a real surprise if he ever did anything in the majors. I don't exactly view Walker as the Don Cooper type where he can get a lot out of an underachieving mega-talent.
-
Ah, a fine representation of our minor leaguers this inning. Stone basically saying someone messed with Flowers swing for the worse.
-
I'm puzzled as to why someone that likes to act like he's a hard ass is so scared to retaliate when our hitters get HBP.
