White Sox Acquire Edwin Jackson
QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jul 30, 2010 -> 03:56 PM) If this Jackson-Hudson deal actually goes through, we better still get a bat. I'll be pissed as f***ing hell if Kotsay is still our DH come Sunday. Yep, if it's just Hudson and another prospect for Jackson, and then nothing else happens...that would be just a horrible deal.

White Sox Acquire Edwin Jackson
QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Jul 30, 2010 -> 03:55 PM) OK, I'm going to rip off a poster from the "catch-all" thread since it might be what stalled the Jackson/Hudson deal... Nightengale is reporting KW is going after Brett Myers, maybe he can get Berkman/Myers without Hudson Um, not a chance in hell he gets both without giving up Hudson. For those two, I'd gladly get rid of Hudson, Danks2, Morel, and someone else.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 30, 2010 -> 04:33 PM) Really, no he can't. I agree, but KW might not.

White Sox Acquire Edwin Jackson
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 30, 2010 -> 04:31 PM) That might be the first thing written in this thread that makes enough sense to me to part with Hudson. Still leaves us screwed next year though. People are forgetting that Chris Sale is around and easily could be in majors for opening day, 2011.

How about Westbrook and Choo in a mega deal?

I keep hoping to refresh soxtalk's main page and see a different name than Edwin Jackson.

White Sox Acquire Edwin Jackson
QUOTE (kane0730 @ Jul 30, 2010 -> 03:10 PM) No doubt. Makes you wonder why they even pitched him last night. Why wouldn't they have pushed him back? They had to have known Hudson might be moving. They didn't pitch him tonight...see my earlier post about how he warmed up, and then mysteriously sat down.

I still think it will be Tony Pena starting tonight. No way Torres starts after going 75 pitches last night.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Jul 30, 2010 -> 02:44 PM) I liked how with both homers Castro paused to admire the towering power blasts they were. Even if you had the sound turned down (because you knew from the sound they were long gone), you could watch his body language and know he cranked them. I want to see the pitcher who has the balls to throw at Ramon Castro if they think he's showboating.

It won't be Prince, as Milwaukee isn't in sell mode now.

White Sox Acquire Edwin Jackson
QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jul 30, 2010 -> 03:57 PM) Not so much: BNightengale #mlb # If deal gets done, the White Sox would send Daniel Hudson and prospect for Jackson, and take on Jackson's entire $8.75 million salary 1 minute ago via web The D-Backs are in no position to include cash. That would be just an awful deal

White Sox Acquire Edwin Jackson
Something I found interesting last night was how Pena was warming up to come in for the 6th when it was a 2 run game with men on for Seattle, but after it became a 4 run game heading into the 7th, Putz was brought in. To me, maybe Ozzie was told not to pitch Pena in case he had to start tonight's game.

Mariners (Pauley 0-2, 2.18) @ White Sox (Garcia 9-4, 4.74)
This is like the KC game before the ASB. It's so much fun watching this team at home.

Mariners (Pauley 0-2, 2.18) @ White Sox (Garcia 9-4, 4.74)
Wowsers, Konerko is just awesome at home.

Mariners (Pauley 0-2, 2.18) @ White Sox (Garcia 9-4, 4.74)
Nasty splitter there...seems like every time we play Seattle, Gutierrez bats in a similar situation.

Mariners (Pauley 0-2, 2.18) @ White Sox (Garcia 9-4, 4.74)
Wow, time to pull Putz. Thornton should be in facing Kotchman anyways.

Juan didn't seem to go after that ball very well.

Mariners (Pauley 0-2, 2.18) @ White Sox (Garcia 9-4, 4.74)
What an AWFUL trade by the Twins. Can't believe they gave up Ramos for Capps.

WOW!

Mariners (Pauley 0-2, 2.18) @ White Sox (Garcia 9-4, 4.74)
Castro better play sometime this week, as we face 3 LHP.

Mariners (Pauley 0-2, 2.18) @ White Sox (Garcia 9-4, 4.74)
Nice 0-3 for Kotsay, and even better is that he didn't hit anything hard, so we don't have to hear more excuses.
