  1. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 12, 2010 -> 08:40 PM) That ball by Pierre carried up there a ton. Anyone listening on the radio able to report if they say it's blowing in or out? Judging by flags, seems to be blowing in.
  2. Gonna have to swing the bats today. This zone is gigantic!
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 12, 2010 -> 08:34 PM) I meant a couple weeks ago when you said they had a shot to catch the Cardinals. Even with Aramis Ramirez in there, that'd still be a fairly weak lineup. Three good outfielders, and then two guys in Lee/Ramirez that you expect to heat up.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 12, 2010 -> 08:32 PM) So wait, the Cubs lineup actually goes Lee, Baker, Nady, Soriano? Fathom, you said this was a playoff caliber lineup? That's a Derek Lee away from being Pirates-worthy. No, I said they were stock full of righties. I actually like Baker and Nady as platoon guys. Good job by Buehrle there!
  5. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 12, 2010 -> 08:32 PM) Mark's average velocity this inning has to be about 82. Every fastball has been 85-87 mph
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 12, 2010 -> 08:31 PM) On the high fastball yeah, the pitch low and in said 82. Nasty changeup. Delicious. It was a cutter, I believe
  7. He set that pitch up beautifully
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 12, 2010 -> 08:29 PM) That was a fastball? The gun said 82. 87
  9. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 12, 2010 -> 08:27 PM) Ha, Lee was out in front of that changeup by a country mile. Best change-ups he's thrown in a while.
  10. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 12, 2010 -> 08:27 PM) We're going to hit the crap out of Silva though. A bad start by Buehrle might not be fatal. More like hitters 2-6 will beat up Silva.
  11. Can we bring in Pena yet?
  12. Yay, Buehrle throwing batting practice already. This Cubs lineup is loaded with righties today. He doesn't have a prayer of having a quality start.
  13. Ugh, weak at bat by Beckham. He was flying open pathetically bad AGAIN!
  14. Ok Gordon...be a hero like last time on Fox against the Cubs!
  15. Jeez Carlos...overpowered by Silva. Any word on the wind?
  16. Great approach on that single by PK. Come on CQ, keep it off the ground!
  17. Stay hot Rios! Come on PK, keep it off the ground!
  18. Stone's interview with B and B was amazing. He made fun of Piniella stuttering, told Lou that he has been offered numerous front office job, Stone never made fun of Lou being a broadcaster, and he said that Lou might be 16th in all-time wins....but he has zero postseason wins with the Cubs.
  19. Cowley said Garcia and Konerko confirmed the blow-up. Also, both Stone and Cowley suggested Hahn will be replacing KW sooner rather than later, and Ozzie's going nowhere.
  20. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 10:49 PM) Alright, good stuff. Would have been nice to not have to use Bobby today but I'll take a W. exactly, he came in and didn't give them any momentum!
  21. Way to go offense...the 4 singles in a row was a great momentum builder, and Peavy pitched his ass off.
  22. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 10:48 PM) Personally, I go with a decent reliever who hasn't pitched much of late like Putz to avoid turning a blowout into a save opportunity. And look at the board about 15 minutes ago, we were saying the same thing!
  23. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 10:46 PM) With a 5-run lead? No, not with these conditions. I just took a walk outside, and it's insanely windy.
