  1. The good news is Colon's ERA went down, so at least if the worst occurs, he'd have good trade value.
  2. It's like all of our guys are dead tired. Absolutely no bat speed tonight.
  3. It's funny to see someone from the minors dominate us, yet Ozzie tells us not to get excited about Beckham putting up huge numbers against similar pitchers.
  4. I'll make the prediction we get the tying run to the plate tonight.
  5. Not quite sure why Colon's in the game. He looks to be laboring, as his release is quite odd right now. His velocity is awful tonight, and really worrisome.
  6. QUOTE (Paint it Black @ Jun 3, 2009 -> 01:34 AM) It just might be selective memory, but is it just me or do the white sox not hit mediocre pitchers they have never seen before? We hit no one we've never seen before. Something's definitely broke.
  7. QUOTE (whitesoxmanager @ Jun 3, 2009 -> 01:30 AM) just when i thought we were on a roll....crimeney sakes. would somebody please tell me if we are good or not. i have no clue. We're a slightly above average team that has a bad bench. When we get too many bench players into the lineup, our lineup really suffers. We have 3 bench players starting tonight, for example. We're playing good baseball, and just need to go out and win the next 2.
  8. Why does Hawk say we've played the tough part of the schedule? We haven't played NYY or Boston, and we haven't visited Minnesota yet.
  9. The good news is we face a LHP tomorrow, so Anderson will be starting. Wise's days with the Sox are definitely numbered.
  10. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Jun 3, 2009 -> 01:25 AM) and play beckham where? 3B
  11. Good thing we walked Cust to get to one of the hottest hitters in baseball. f*** you Ozzie, and call up Beckham.
  12. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Jun 3, 2009 -> 02:18 AM) The bottom of the order starting with AJ is worthless tonight. Why does he refuse to take a pitch. Compared to most games that they get Cyied, certain guys are making him work. He should have been gone by the next inning if not for the guys that feel they need to swing at everything. Nix swinging at the 1-0 count in the 2nd was just stupid.
  13. This game is very similar to the Texas game at the Cell on Sunday last month. It's disturbing that Colon's only throwing 87 mph coming off of 6 days rest.
  14. Goodness, RELEASE HIM. Screw you Ozzie for saying we shouldn't be excited about Beckham. The current options at 3rd are a disgrace.
  15. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Jun 3, 2009 -> 02:12 AM) Glad to see we brought our big boy bats to the game tonight. DW will get us started next inning.
  16. Oh yay, another newcomer dominating us. Absolutely dreadful energy for the Sox tonight.
  17. Wow, that was a terrible turn by Alexei. That throw had nothing on it.
  18. QUOTE (onedude @ Jun 3, 2009 -> 01:59 AM) Colon is getting ahead of everybody at least, now they're starting to get hits Well, when you throw one pitch, that's going to happen.
  19. I really thought we were going to come out and just destroy the A's tonight. Damn Pods getting picked off!
  20. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 3, 2009 -> 01:56 AM) Bartolo lookin OK so far. Nice jinx
