Twins (2-2) @ White Sox (1-2) 7:11pm CSN
No surprise there...Contreras has been begging to get crushed with that mediocre fastball tonight.

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Apr 11, 2009 -> 01:31 AM) Its adjustments to the adjustments that will make or break a young players sophomore year. And hitting the ball to the left field concourse isn't the way to go about doing it.

Extremely difficult 2-3-4 coming up for Contreras here. Seems like the 5th could be a turning point in this game.

Leaving way too many runners on base, especially with our big hitters up. Quentin's just awful this year when he tries to pull the ball. His only two good swings were on pitches he drove up the middle and to right center.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 11, 2009 -> 01:28 AM) Which is why I think he probably ends up in CF. I'm fine with that also. Hopefully Ramirez gets it going, and we start having to ask if we need Beckham at SS this year.

Nice steal..too bad Fields didn't make contact on that.

This is where Getz should be stealing.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 11, 2009 -> 02:21 AM) Based on what the org is saying about his defense, there is no way they move Ramirez to CF. All I know is Beckham's offense goes from above average to average if you move him from up the middle to 3rd base.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 11, 2009 -> 01:19 AM) One of our 3 guys up the middle is going to need to be moved somewhere. RAMIREZ TO CENTER FIELD!

Crap, tie game after terrible fielding by Contreras. The sooner we get to the bullpen, the better.

Punto might have been safe. Be careful with the inner fastball to Denard here.

That was a sick hit by Morales.

4/10 - Friday Games Thread
Disappointing night for Dexter Carter. 5 innings, 3 earned, 10 base runners.

QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 11, 2009 -> 02:11 AM) Can only imagine with all the construction going on last year during games. I didn't know they made such big changes. Imagine my surprise watching the game today on a deep flyball and all of a sudden, there's a ton of fans sitting behind the outfield wall.

QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 11, 2009 -> 01:07 AM) thome looks likes he's never seen a knuckle ball in his life Chased ball 4. Thome so far this year looks comfortable with the fastball, but his pitch recognition has been really poor.

QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 11, 2009 -> 01:02 AM) hawk is right....kubel just got under that jose HAS to locate better...he's behind everyone Jose's pitches are tailing towards his right. He's actually the perfect pitcher for Crede to crush the ball against.

That a boy Fields! Huge hit for all of us!
-
Twins (2-2) @ White Sox (1-2) 7:11pm CSN
Fields should be our best hitter against knuckler, as he's always been better against offspeed pitches than a good fastball.

QUOTE (Sox It To Em @ Apr 11, 2009 -> 01:55 AM) I thought that was gone, dadgummit. Serioiusly, that seemed like a no doubter. In the summer, that's gone.

Good grief, this has potential to be the worst base running team in baseball history.
