Ex Sox Player to the Cubs??
QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Dec 31, 2008 -> 05:15 PM) The Cubs just signed Aaron Miles.. and of course the Peavy rumors start up again. Bradley is an asshole and a maniac, but he's a hell of an offensive player who gives them exactly what they need from a lefty hitter.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Dec 31, 2008 -> 03:32 AM) You're better than that fathom. I had no problem with the free throw disparity, Illinois should not shoot a lot of free throws because they have face up bigs and guards that don't penetrate, and Purdue is a rough and tumble team that will shoot free throws. This game also had some horrible calls, but those calls went both ways as they often do in a Big 10 game because the refs are a joke in that conference. I think overall, to say this game was called in favor of either team is just not accurate. I missed the 1st half of the game. In the 2nd half and OT, I thought Illinois got a very solid effort from the refs. My overall response more had to deal with a certain aspect of Illini fans who think there's a conspiracy every game against them by the refs. Legion looked much better tonight, as he was fluid on the court.

Cubs are about to trade Marquis for Luis Vizcaino so that they can sign Milton Bradley. Getting rid of Marquis is a great thing for the Cubs.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 31, 2008 -> 02:59 AM) I'm not saying that Illinois is getting screwed (except for the last one.... who calls that with one second left, in any game?). I'm just saying Purdue fans can't b**** about the refs in this game considering the free throw situation. I agree with this...both teams are rather inept at creating offense, which causes so much contact on every play. Illinois should have more FT than they have....but they've also got some unusual calls for a road team.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 31, 2008 -> 02:55 AM) um, have you seen the free throw disparity? Deleted it, as I've realized it's just not worth arguing with Illinois fans about refs.

Angelo would never trade draft picks for a player. He values draft picks more than any other GM in football.

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 09:48 PM) Olson had that ball and it should've been a TD. One thing I noticed is that Orton eyes his receiver too much. It was interesting, as Vasher was ripping on Orton for doing this too much on Comcast yesterday. You usually don't hear criticism like that from your teammate.

QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 09:43 PM) Especially considering that everything is going the Bears way in the other games. Babich is so horrible it's amazing. This D has gone from top 5 in the league to bottom 10 with the same personnel, but different coach. There's no way he'll survive this offseason (I mean that with the organization, not with his personal well-being).

This has to be one of the most frustrating Bears years I can remember. So many games that were blown that should have been victories, and now just a terrible week 17 of the season.

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 09:27 PM) Orton looks terribly in accurate today, but the refs look terrible as well. Orton just isn't good, I don't understand why people don't realize this.

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 08:20 PM) Babich made Olsen fumble. Babich made Tillman go apes**t. Babich made Orton throw it to the team in the purple. Okay. Babich's defense did allow for Griese to throw for an insane # of yards in the 2nd half/OT of that game.

QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 08:13 PM) And they are idiots. This has to be one of the worst offensive groups in NFL history, and Turner has made this a middle of the road offense. Talk about getting the most out of what you have to work with. Yep, it's the opposite of Babich, who has seemingly taken a talented bunch and turned them into crap.

QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 07:11 PM) Is this for real, or just getting on Fathom? No, I think it's for real. People really despise Turner, even though he's been much better this year than last season.
