  1. So it's the MCL? I'm sure they'll take him for an MRI, but even if it's torn, at least it's not the ACL.
  2. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 02:09 AM) Second guessing is so easy to do. The Yankees second guessed Torre all the time; now they have a clown in Girardi. Oz has gotten the most out of his talent this year. Any manager we had you can second guess 10 moves in any loss. That's a fact. He's a great manager. So, you condone of the bunt attempts in this afternoon's game? How about letting Jerry Owens bat with the go-ahead runner on 2nd base? How about letting Wassermann face G. Anderson? Who can forget the Horacio debacle in Baltimore, followed up with having AJP "try" to bunt in front of Quentin.
  3. Swisher is a better hitter than Uribe, end of story
  4. QUOTE (daa84 @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 03:07 AM) haha...not that backup catcher is ever a huge concern, but you can add toby to the list of players i won't miss next year With Konerko out, he may be our back-up 1st baseman.
  5. QUOTE (daa84 @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 02:06 AM) ozzie is a great off field/clubhouse manager...on the field IMO he is definitely sub par...he has admitted that he doesnt really look at stats and just manages on his gut...to me, in this day in age, that is absolutely inexcusible.....any other type of mangement in any other work environment would be fired for neglecting such information.....not saying you have to use that stuff as the bible, but im not sure how you can simply ignore alot of that stuff Like letting Wassermann face G. Anderson? Someone said on the radio that Ozzie didn't know Anderson was on their bench.
  6. Nice to see Uribe decide to go to his lean approach again instead of standing up straight.
  7. I just hope it's not an ACL. I expect Konerko gone for the rest of the year, but just like with Quentin, I hope he's ready to go for next year.
  8. QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 01:59 AM) WHO in their right mind could think Ozzie Guillen is an amazing manager? Oh trust me, there's quite a few on here. I hate how Hawk is complaining about umpiring against the Sox this season. What the hell did they expect to happen after Ozzie's rant at the beginning of the season? The umpires are a bunch of fat, grumpy assholes. You can't piss them off like that, they'll team up on you.
  9. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 02:57 AM) The over/under on baserunners allowed by Adam Russell is 3.5. What a terrible pitcher
  10. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 01:55 AM) You realize when Ozzie is presented with this type of situation, he will move towards the dink and dunk attack. Dont be surprised if Owens becomes our leadoff guy tomorrow. Well, he did homer off of Halladay last year (my wedding night)
  11. QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 02:54 AM) Has it already been exactly 5 years from today of the Jose Paniaqua experience? How appropriate Wow, how dare you!
  12. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 01:53 AM) if toronto played in the central they'd be 3 games out, about to be 2. They'd be 5 games up
  13. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 02:52 AM) It's not easy to lose a doubleheader at home. What a joke. You still think Ozzie is an amazing manager after that first game?
  14. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 01:50 AM) The White Sox hitter have officially given up. This defeatist attitude they're displaying is pretty f***ing sickening. The worst thing is we're going to hear that Ozzie would have won his 3rd World Series ring this season if not for the injuries.
  15. QUOTE (soxfan3530 @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 01:50 AM) is nick swisher the worst hitter in the majors? Tony Pena Jr. says hello
  16. QUOTE (soxfan3530 @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 01:49 AM) the sox need to get their heads out of their asses and save some face and win this damn game. This team quit tonight...hard to blame them.
  17. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 01:48 AM) A 2.5 game lead at 1:05pm will be a 1 game lead 9 hours later, I don't even want to think about 48 hours from now. Enjoy tonight?
  18. So here's the part that will piss you off...if Clayton Dick would have thrown the ball to first base, that run down situation never happens.
  19. QUOTE (soxfan3530 @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 01:44 AM) is anyone else near tears right now? sigh. Think of it this way....if there's some type of terrorist attack or natural disaster tonight that wipes out the rest of the regular season, the White Sox are going to the playoffs!
  20. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 02:43 AM) Hate to break this to you but , you had nothing to do with anything happening in the Cell. Thanks, nicest thing someone's said to me all week.
  21. QUOTE (daa84 @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 01:42 AM) some how KW has been able to sidestep the fact that we havent been able to produce anything from within our own system and especially from our horrendous drafts....it is finally now starting to catch up with us KW is a smart man...he knows the best thing to do is avoid talking about the minor league system as much as possible (Wilder implications).
  22. It really pisses me off how Hawk sounded like someone killed his puppy when Erstad got hurt. There's been no mention of PK since he left the field.
