  1. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 08:59 PM) This pen is NOT this dam good as we are making them look! This Sox offense is just this damn bad.
  2. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 08:58 PM) It's what have you done for me lately anyway isn't it? Doesn't matter about that, but quoting 2004 stats for anyone is foolish.
  3. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 07:55 PM) Also outside of 2004, Juan has been in a hitting slump his entire career. People should not follow stats prior to 2005 for active players. Simple rule of baseball to live with.
  4. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 07:46 PM) I am not buying into the Richar thing at this time. Don't worry, neither is management.
  5. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 07:46 PM) Maddon put Crawford in LF. I wonder why that is. Maddon has dominated Ozzie this series.
  6. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 08:43 PM) I kinda don't want to take Anderson's glove out of the game. Steal Alexei! Well, we're going to have to score to win. Nothing like keeping our best hitter and clutch player on the bench.
  7. Terrible managing all weekend. Also, why do our runners continue to steal with 2 strikes? All it does is distract the hitters.
  8. So what are we saving CQ for? You're not going to use him for any of the first 7 guys in the lineup.
  9. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 07:37 PM) I'd go with that Tigers team that almost set the most losses record. Rockies have injuries and if healthy, would be better than that Detroit team. That's what I mean...this current team with these injuries.
  10. Crede's swing today couldn't be longer if he tried. Ramirez is our only hope to score runs.
  11. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 07:35 PM) By 1 game and it's June 1st. Since when does the race for the best record in baseball mean anything? Sorry, I meant in the NL.
  12. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 07:32 PM) Everytime I turn on the Cubs game, they are talking about how they have the best record in baseball. They even have a standings graphic for it. Lame. And this current Rockies team might be the worst team to wear a baseball uniform this decade.
  13. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 07:32 PM) Everytime I turn on the Cubs game, they are talking about how they have the best record in baseball. They even have a standings graphic for it. Lame. They do have the best record by a few games now. When they stop winning as much as they have, then they won't show that graphic.
  14. No surprise, Edmonds is playing very well for the Cubs now.
  15. QUOTE (G&T @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 08:27 PM) When is he ever not in that mode? I mean instead of taking 2 strikes every at bat.
  16. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 08:27 PM) Didn't Balfour suck last year when he was with Milwaukee? Oh yes, big time. Cost them a few games.
  17. Nice at bat for Thome. He needs to be in swing hard in case you hit it mode.
  18. It's like our hitters act surprised when they see an offspeed pitch after seeing only fastballs to get to two strikes.
  19. QUOTE (Frankensteiner @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 07:14 PM) Giambi is like top 5 AL in OPS. Damon has an .838 OPS. These guys are freaking Hall of Famers compared to what we've got going on. Beltre has been pretty good, too. Certainly more productive than our guys. Silva and Sexson have been bad, but it's still just those two guys vs. our pathetic 3. Jones has been bad. Pierre is OK for what they want out of him. Loaiza has been about as good as Buehrle. Those guys make about $10-12 M less than our three. Pierre's actually having a solid year so far.
