  1. Swisher has absolutely no power. Can he use an aluminum bat?
  2. That pitch to Swisher was definitely not a strike for Vazquez to Sizemore.
  3. Nice catch by Swisher....hopefully Vazquez finds his change-up.
  4. QUOTE (daa84 @ May 26, 2008 -> 11:17 PM) wow that got out? must be alot of wind...i thought that was a routine fly out off the bat...maybe i just misjudged it though Delucci has a lot of power, and can hit a fastball as well as anyone. Vazquez is not very impressive so far. No command of his change-up, and his fastball is mediocre for him.
  5. QUOTE (PlunketChris @ May 27, 2008 -> 12:16 AM) why do we always immediately give runs back?? Maybe it just seems that way, especially when your offense is so bad and pitching is good.
  6. Seemed inevitable the Indians would get that run back. Javy's fastball seems a little short so far.
  7. This is going to be a long night of umpiring complaining by Hawk.
  8. QUOTE (daa84 @ May 26, 2008 -> 11:12 PM) seems like he never gets the barrel on the ball Exactly...even the hits he's had over the last month have been bloopers or dribblers for the most part.
  9. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 26, 2008 -> 11:09 PM) hmm...PK usually uses an invisible bat
  10. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 26, 2008 -> 11:08 PM) even the CLE announcers said byrd got a call on that 3rd strike Dye's approach was off that at bat, and has been for the last week or so. He needs to use the whole field.
  11. Big at bat for PK. Too bad that didn't hit the base.
  12. Terrible AB for Dye...need Thome to pick him up.
  13. Bases loaded, no one out! We need to get at least two runs. Dye's gotten pull happy, as everything he's hitting is right down the left field line.
  14. QUOTE (daa84 @ May 26, 2008 -> 11:59 PM) we really need to make byrd throw alot of pitches tonight...we did it early in the year to opposing pitchers, but lately we have been awful at it. it would be nice to get into the tribe pen early as it is struggling Byrd's never going to throw a lot of pitches due to his command.
  15. QUOTE (daa84 @ May 26, 2008 -> 10:42 PM) good thing we have a K guy out there and not a fly ball pitcher like floyd...though javy isnt exactly a GB guy on his non K outs I just hope he doesn't try to nibble due to the wind blowing out.
  16. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ May 26, 2008 -> 11:37 PM) I knew that eventually we would discover what aills ya Diet drinks are even worse.
  17. QUOTE (daa84 @ May 26, 2008 -> 10:59 PM) i had to do everything in my power not to spit my coke out my nose reading that you were actually drinkin pepsi instead of coke and no not that coke out of my nose You couldn't pay me 100 dollars to drink coca-cola instead of pepsi.
  18. My brother told me that Joseph Bertrand really stunk at the tournament, and that Jordan continued to play very well.
  19. So, on Comcast last night, Mark "Huge Nose" Schianowski stated that both KW and Jim Hendry caught lightning in a bottle this offseason by getting Carlos Quentin and Reed Johnson. I had to do everything in my power not to spit my Pepsi out of my nose. The only thing those guys have in common is they both get HBP frequently.
  20. I had to listen on the radio during the 8th inning, and it just reinforced my opinion that Ron Santo is my least favorite person on this planet.
  21. QUOTE (29andPoplar @ May 26, 2008 -> 08:34 PM) Here is my take on this. Yes, it is selfish if he's calling Rosenberg in the press box during games. Knowing Bob, Cabrera wouldn't get too far with the argument anyways. As for trading him ... my thought is this ... he has been sub par thus far and I think he will only get better for the rest of the year. This guy is not a .220 hitter. The trade market is dead right now so it doesn't make much sense calling for trades as teams will stick with what they've got for a few weeks more at minimum. Not to mention the team hasn't been playing great but they're in first place. Lots of guys underachieving but still in first place, I think they should wait a bit on personnel moves with the exception of fixing the 2B hole if the right guy is available. Oh by the way, long live Schallers Pump. Oldest saloon in Chicago and one of the best. Trading him right now would be a bad idea, as like you said, his value is so low right now. If anything, hopefully he can stay a Type A FA. He'd fit in perfectly with the Giants next season.
  22. Why is Mark Sweeney on a roster? His OPS is around .350.
  23. QUOTE (Gregory Pratt @ May 26, 2008 -> 07:54 PM) What the hell did I just watch? The National League...it's craptastic! It's mind-boggling how terrible teams play against the Cubs at Wrigley.
