  1. Jose's wildness getting him in a lot of trouble. I can't remember who said this on the radio today, but the White Sox are just really boring to watch right now.
  2. How evident has the speed and hustle difference been this series? The Angels are having everyone on their roster steal successfully if they reach base, and the White Sox can't even get a double on balls hit down the line (Crede last night, AJP tonight).
  3. They miss a hit and run, and still steal easily. AJ is such a bad throwing catcher. And then, PK shows just miserable range after we throw a perfect pitch for Quinlan to hit to right field.
  4. No walks Jose! I feel bad for our starting pitchers, so much pressure.
  5. Good swings by Swisher tonight...the ball just isn't jumping off of his bat.
  6. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ May 15, 2008 -> 04:05 AM) If the Sox do find themselves out of it in July, Contreras might be able to be moved without picking up anything for next season. There is still a TON of time between now and then, but it's encouraging. Absolutely, I've been thinking the same thing.
  7. PK swinging like a fool at the plate. I guess no one has ever told him that swinging as hard as possible usually makes your swing longer.
  8. QUOTE (Brian @ May 15, 2008 -> 03:55 AM) Jose throwing that "heavy ball" they said he was throwing in 05. He's throwing a good 3 to 4 mph faster than he did last year.
  9. QUOTE (Brian @ May 15, 2008 -> 03:52 AM) Every call like that goes against us. Do umps get secretly fined for awful or missed calls? It sucks they missed the call, but even worse, we have to hear about it for another 6 innings.
  10. Guillermo Mota just blew a save for the Brewers.
  11. David Riske hurt his elbow tonight. Not sure how bad it is, just heard them say it doesn't look good.
  12. QUOTE (Brian @ May 15, 2008 -> 03:34 AM) Uribe is awesome...ly bad. Sometimes it worries me that the hitters can't tell when the pitcher is obviously setting them up for a particular pitch. After two straight inside fastballs off the plate, Uribe seemed surprised that Lackey went with the offspeed pitch on the outer corner.
  13. 3-0 pop up to right field by Crede?? Seems like it's been forever since he homered.
  14. QUOTE (Brian @ May 15, 2008 -> 03:25 AM) Hawk's pbp for those commercials are better than his pbp for the games. Just like PK's hitting.
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 15, 2008 -> 02:22 AM) At age 25, Ordonez put up an .860 OPS and hit 30 home runs and drove in 117. At age 25, Lee put up an .800 OPS and hit 24 home runs. I'd say Quentin right now is pretty close in performance to where Mags was, and Mags had more playing time before that because he was healthier. CQ may also simply be better in the power department, while Ordonez might have been a slightly better hitter (i.e. Mags batting title last year). But how many seasons did those guys have in the majors by the time they were 25?
  16. Not that anyone cares, but Berkman homered in his first AB. The shocking thing is he's doing a lot of this right handed, a side he's not been very good from.
  17. Yeah, might want to be careful with that first pitch fastball to Vlad. Lucky that wasn't hit out of the park.
  18. Someone tell me this....do the Sox have to give Thome another year if he gets to the at bat incentive?
  19. Has Thome hit a breaking pitch all season? Can we call him Jim Thme from now on, as there's no O in his game anymore.
  20. How would you rate the following hitters when they were at the point in their career that CQ is: Ordonez, C. Lee, Quentin?
