A's @ Sox
QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 5, 2008 -> 12:46 AM) It's like you guys are surprised by this. We've been good one week, bad another for 2 months. It feels as if the Twins have been great for 2 months now.

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jul 5, 2008 -> 12:44 AM) Our on again/off again offense is off again. Hopefully they can figure out how to hit again soon. OC is such a catalyst. Also, I'll be happy if we don't play for one run in the 5th inning ever again.

Dotel in? Very strange, seems like a better spot for Russell or Masset.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 5, 2008 -> 01:39 AM) Lucky they don't have about 4 more runs. I'd just like to forget about this game and these uniforms. Indians are rallying.

4-1 A's now...just a mediocre performance by Buehrle. Mark Ellis has looked horrible this series, I'm not sure why you put him on.
-
A's @ Sox
Well that was just terrible. He was too worried about the runner on first, and laid a cookie in there for the #9 hitter. Of course, if Dye wasn't running in quick sand, Gonzalez never reaches base. This is beginning to remind me of the A's series in 2005 prior to the ASB.

These hitters continue to be baffled by Blanton's offspeed stuff. At least we gave up the first out via bunt.
-
A's @ Sox
Why in the hell are we bunting to give up the first out with the #9 and struggling #1 hitter coming up?

A's @ Sox
Crede continues to freaking suck.

That a boy Thome. Nice hustle by CQ.

Huge batter here in Ellis....2 runs is doable

QUOTE (tommy @ Jul 5, 2008 -> 12:59 AM) Mark Buehrle your Sox pitcher of the month June, unfortunately it's July. I can't believe no one has gone out there and told him to stop overthrowing. From the first batter tonight, you could tell he was throwing TOO hard.

Twins up 5-2 after Delmon Young hits a 3 run homer.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 5, 2008 -> 12:57 AM) Now Buehrle is getting smacked with the pitches up. Only a matter of time. Can we never wear these jerseys again? We look like the Padres....and their horrible offense.
-
A's @ Sox
Well, Buehrle blows tonight. We're lucky it's not 5 or 6 to nothing. Go Indians.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 4, 2008 -> 11:55 PM) Ugh, keep the ball down on Cust, please. Why? He's one of the best low fastball hitters in the game. Just a horrendous pitch call.
-
A's @ Sox
Way to throw Cust a low fastball. I guess they missed the scouting report that was on here. This team is flat as hell tonight.
-
A's @ Sox
Blanton has looked great so far...and Buehrle, not so much. Hopefully it's like last night where the cruising pitcher loses.
-
A's @ Sox
Do these guys know they're allowed to not swing at offspeed pitches and take them for balls?
-
A's @ Sox
PK singled in his first AB
-
A's @ Sox
Good AB Uribe....showcasing him will only diminish his value.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 4, 2008 -> 11:46 PM) Eliis can't shake AJ. STFU Hawk. His only chance of being safe was if he knocked the ball loose. Hawk's announcing tonight has been beyond bad. He's been b****ing about pitches that weren't close to being strikes, he said the Sox were going to get Ellis on that double play, and there's been a few fly balls that he thought might be fair when they were foul by plenty.
-
A's @ Sox
Holy cow, we actually throw a runner out at home!
-
A's @ Sox
Ugh, Buehrle is overthrowing everything. I've never seen him throw so many pitches up in the zone. He's flirting with major trouble.

Twins are just pounding Paul Byrd so far. This Indians team has quit. Meanwhile, it would be nice if our hitters acted like they knew how to hit an offspeed ptich.
