  1. Sox down 1-0 after a blast by Ian Stewart. Someone please wake the Sox up!
  2. QUOTE (rafacosta @ Jun 14, 2008 -> 12:35 AM) Tigers series messed up the hitters... or maybe the Twins series gave our hitters a false sense of confidence. The last few nights, the approach has been awful. Very few hard hit balls.
  3. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 14, 2008 -> 01:24 AM) f***ing filthy, Gavin. By far the best offspeed stuff he's had to start a game.
  4. Going to be a long night if our hitters keep trying to pull every pitch.
  5. Any word on why Thome's out?
  6. Cook is 2-2 so far tonight.
  7. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Jun 13, 2008 -> 03:42 AM) twins lost along with us, man don't do us any favors twinkies, sheesh! haha still 5.5 Who cares about the Twins. The Tigers and Indians are our main competitors.
  8. Good, Loaiza had no business pitching for this team.
  9. Just saw the Edmonds homer...that's one of the cheapest homers I've seen in a while. 73-8
  10. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jun 13, 2008 -> 12:15 AM) They had a bad series at a bad time. It happens. In their last 10 games, the Sox are 7-3. They need to get fat against these NL teams. The Sox still find themselves with a decent lead in a bad division, so racking up some wins against inferior teams is vital. Get it done. I had such a bad feeling about this Tigers series. We have to play better tomorrow, especially facing a very good pitcher on Saturday.
  11. Bad loss, bad series. Pretty much terrible coaching and execution. Have to get it going against a Rockies team that's hitting well again.
  12. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 12, 2008 -> 04:33 AM) I'd be too if he hit 400 foot HR after 400 foot HR against my team. You mean like Soriano at the Cell last season?
  13. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 12, 2008 -> 02:28 AM) Not if you use the sortable schedules. Article on yahoo that Zambrano will pitch the Sunday game at Wrigley and Friday at the Cell.
  14. QUOTE (29andPoplar @ Jun 12, 2008 -> 12:54 AM) Not that this is the thread for this question, but is he out of the game, or ?
  15. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jun 12, 2008 -> 02:59 AM) Fathom has mentioned it, and he is correct. With the hole the Tigers have put themselves in, they need a sweep at home to even start thinking of a comeback. Tomorrow is a very big game for both clubs. I don't like the match up, but getting a W tomorrow really is huge. 10 games back at this time of the season is definitely within reach. I believe the Cubs were 8 games out or so around this time last year, and they ended up winning their division. This offense has to go out and dominate games on the road like they were doing at home.
  16. QUOTE (whitesoxmanager @ Jun 12, 2008 -> 01:16 AM) why did you put that in green? are you nuts? sports are about as corrupt as the marketplace. that was absolutely the worst call i have ever seen in my life. they obviously told ozzie before the game what the deal was going to be. otherwise he wouldve lost a gasket. THE f***ING MOST UNREAL CALL EVER. Thank god the fix was in for the 2005 playoffs then. Doug Eddings is the man!
  17. 0-2 since this thread was started.
  18. OC has to be super pissed.
  19. That wasn't even close.
  20. I'll say this....Brandon Inge calls a significantly better game behind the plate than Rodriguez.
  21. QUOTE (jenks45monster @ Jun 12, 2008 -> 02:05 AM) That's just the way the "Lovable Cubbies" are treated. I was watching Comcast Sports Net's 'Sports Night Live' and they did a 15 minute segment on Soriano when he was starting to get hot, and a 5 minute segment on how well Quentin was playing. Cubs coverage always comes first on any new station before the Sox as well. Being put below these guys just gives us more reasons to hate them. I like their week long features on the Cubs coaching staff. The coverage will just get more intense, as they have the best record in baseball and it looks like they'll cruise into the playoffs.
  22. QUOTE (Gregory Pratt @ Jun 12, 2008 -> 12:57 AM) I hope they don't hit Chipper. Might as well pull him, this game is long over.
  23. QUOTE (NorthSideSox15 @ Jun 12, 2008 -> 01:56 AM) Anyone notice the Trib making a big deal about the Cubs winning their 9th in a row at Wrigley? If we win Friday it will be our 9th in a row at home. Do I expect the same coverage? Hardly. No...because they'll be winning their 11th home game in a row.
  24. All this fighting over a pitcher who would probably be 8th on our depth chart behind our starting 5, Broadway, and Masset.
