  1. QUOTE (Frankensteiner @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 02:35 AM) fathom mentioned Jim Thome not being a winning baseball player. Which of these guys are actually winning baseball players? They all swing for the fences all the time. Now, they're Ok at it so they'll score some runs but I don't think they're very good at situational baseball. I think AJ is a winning baseball player.
  2. QUOTE (CWSOX45 @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 02:31 AM) This offense just flat out sucks.....Ugh. As my sig says, it's frustrating to think we traded our 3 best prospects and Jon Garland for this mess.
  3. QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 02:28 AM) Brewers' sloppy defense has allowed the Cubs to have the bases loaded with one out. Brewers need to take Sheets out. Instead of trying to get more runs in the top of the 5th, they let him bat and he goes out on the mound. He's now walked 6 batters, and about 80 pct of his fastballs have been up in the zone.
  4. Milwaukee's defense is still just atrocious.
  5. QUOTE (Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 02:23 AM) Oh and the bullpen is better. Too bad we can't score to use it. I'm not sold on the bullpen being better if Jenks isn't as good as he was last year.
  6. QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 01:21 AM) Wait. When did the Sox get replaced by my church softball team? During the all star break of 2006.
  7. QUOTE (Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 01:21 AM) I didn't like this season when I watched it last year. Ozzie needs to get a new email from me. At least we had a good defensive shortstop last season.
  8. Pathetic...you had to see this coming after yesterday's crap.
  9. QUOTE (Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 01:19 AM) I looking for a new phrase; What is the next step below corpseball? Ozzieball?
  10. Holy cow, what a terrible defensive player. He's well on his way to being my most disliked Sox player ever.
  11. Here it goes...we suck! Our starting pitching has been unreal so far this year, but this offense has picked up where it's been since the ASB of 2006.
  12. Um...why are we throwing inside fastballs to a guy who's trying to hit the ball to right field?
  13. QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 02:15 AM) Any chance next year they swap Stone and DJ? There's a better chance of Stone being swapped with Kenny Williams.
  14. Any chance Delmon Young doesn't homer after the jinx by Hawk?
  15. QUOTE (Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 01:12 AM) ... It is much easier to list the guys that are not "way off" . I am actually starting to think we are better off with Brian Anderson in the line up than Dye. ... as long as we don;t make him bunt. Anderson gave us some quality at bats the past few days.
  16. QUOTE (Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 01:07 AM) Is this just a continuation of the last two weeks?
  17. Jermaine is so off...his entire body is pulling while his arms are going forward.
  18. QUOTE (Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 12:59 AM) Both are really cold right now? Neither has hit a lefty reliever in 3 years?
  19. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 01:58 AM) this twins lineup isn't going to destroy you offensively gavin, just throw strikes and let your D work behind you, only hitters you need to be careful of really are Morneau and Young (I'm not listing Mauer here, I don't think he's that dangerous) Young's dangerous, but Mauer isn't?
  20. Was Hawk saying earlier tonight that Thome was bombing the ball into the right field stands during batting practice? It's so obvious that he's become way too pull happy.
  21. At least Cabrera's looking better. Thome, on the other hand, has basically been worthless if not facing C.C. or Tampa pitching.
  22. QUOTE (Reddy @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 12:50 AM) what would you suggest? Mix it up, put Cabrera or Quentin up there. Walks are good and all, but we acquired Swisher to knock in some runs.
