  1. QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Mar 6, 2008 -> 10:12 PM) as much as I hate to say it, I don't blame him for Uribe. He probably didn't know the Cabrera for Garland trade was possible and he had to do something. And he wasn't going to be able to trade Crede for a bag of balls until he played a few games. He covered his ass and unfortunately got bit in it, too. If KW was going to be willing to give up Garland for Cabrera, why not see if this was a possibility prior to signing Uribe?
  2. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 6, 2008 -> 10:08 PM) What move would you have preferred? And don't say not picking up Uribe's option, because we all know that was picked up for timing purposes/so that we weren't desperate for a shortstop when we were trying to trade for one. Would you have traded Fields? Would you have traded Crede for nothing or not offered him arbitration? Would you have taken an aluminum bat to Joe's back? What else would you have done? He should have never picked up Uribe's option, especially if he had the slightest though of possibly trading Garland for a SS. I'm still confident that Crede will be dealt prior to the start of the season, but if for some reason Fields is starting the season in AAA....well, there's going to be at least one very unhappy person.
  3. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Mar 6, 2008 -> 09:55 PM) I think you could package Juan and Joe to SF. But now it's sounding like Crede may not get moved so soon... To this point, KW has really botched what he did with the left side of the infield this offseason.
  4. I'm concerned about Quentin's health. However, Willits is pretty overrated on this site.
  5. Dan Werner just had one of the dumber plays of the season at the end of that UT/Fla game.
  6. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 6, 2008 -> 04:12 AM) Whoa. That's kind of an important mistake. I'm shocked a mistake like this would be made that would help out Clinton.
  7. I'd like to nominate Shan Foster as most underrated player in the nation, as well as the best true small forward in the country.
  8. Hopefully someone can find the article, but I heard today that the team that won went through a horrible time after their coach died in a fire.
  9. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Mar 5, 2008 -> 02:52 PM) Obama's camp said he can't get to the 2,025 needed to win now and they know it. Now what? I think now that they go to Denver without a nominee, Hillary gets it by default. Why do you think she'd get it by default?
  10. Well, CNN is making it seem like it's Hillary's nomination to lose now. I can't wait for the baseball season and basketball tournament to start so I have something better to watch.
  11. So, what the heck happened to all those votes that were supposed to come in from the big cities in Texas? I really hope the 50 superdelegate rumor for Obama is true, as it would be nice to see something positive happen. The SNL curse continues to grow.
  12. MSNBC called Texas for Hillary. Just a s***ty day, no matter what the delegate count says.
  13. Fox News close to calling Texas for Hillary.
  14. I'm watching "300" right now, so any update on when the big precincts will be reporting in Texas?
  15. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Mar 5, 2008 -> 04:22 AM) same here. I have reviewed my 24+ years of life to think of there was anyone I truly hated with great contempt. To the best I can recall, there are none. Not a single person. THere are people who i disagreed with or just never got along with, but never hate. Hillary... i hate. My mother-in-law and Mark Prior.
  16. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Mar 5, 2008 -> 04:20 AM) I have trouble putting in to words how much I loath HRC. She's a b****, no other way to describe it. I hate her more and more every day.
  17. QUOTE(AngelasDaddy0427 @ Mar 5, 2008 -> 04:09 AM) I think it's obvious that if anyone wins in Texas it'll only be like by 1 point. So it's not like it's going to make a big difference. If HRC wins Texas, the media will never let us hear the end of the "comeback kid" crap.
  18. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 5, 2008 -> 04:04 AM) Only 35% of the districts there have reported. Typically the latter districts to report are the larger, more urban districts in almost every election. Answer I was looking for, thanks!
  19. HRC's up by about 20k in Texas now. At what point will we start seeing the shift to Obama everyone's saying will happen.
  20. Today started off as a good day with Favre retiring and the Stone news, but now with HF and OPRF losing, and HRC winning Ohio....a Texas win for her will make for a long night.
  21. #1 in the state, HF, lost at Bloom tonight. And I want to say a big f*** you to the Proviso East athletic department. I tried going to the OPRF/WY game tonight, and at 7:30, there was a line of 500 people outside that wasn't moving. Not a single person out there was telling people what to do. I just turned around and drove home.
  22. QUOTE(bmags @ Mar 4, 2008 -> 05:22 AM) I just have to wonder, with the recent semi-surge for HRC, who are these people that are actually convinced by negative ads? The same idiots that were on 60 Minutes yesterday saying they think Obama is a Muslim.
