I think the only thing they were on was a hot streak. Since there was steroid testing in 2005, that would mean they would have had to be on HGH. I highly doubt they would have stopped using it then in 2006, when these guys sucked.

Brian Randle is absolutely the dumbest player I've ever seen. -

QUOTE(daa84 @ Feb 13, 2008 -> 03:00 AM) i know folks here dont follow SEC ball too much, but my commodores are absolutely mopping the floor with a Kentucky team who was pretty hot coming in.....41-11 at the half....Kentuckys fewest points scored in a half since the shot clock, previous low was 16 Foster's playing a great game...he's one of the top 3 shooting guards in the country. -

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Feb 13, 2008 -> 01:53 AM) seriously, ExaggerationSPN. So far, Hummel is the best freshman in the big ten, Izzo is a legendary coach based on how great he b****es to the refs, this is the best game that has been on TV all season. I'm not so sure Hummel hasn't been the best overall frosh during Big 10 play this year. -

QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Feb 12, 2008 -> 04:39 AM) pooper scooper, ku needs to get tougher on the boards. I thought that was close to a 10 second call at the end of the game....i jumped up and twisted my freakin ankle. Sherron Collins just doesn't impress me. Kansas has 4 guys in Chalmers, Rush, Arthur, and Jackson who are playing at a high level. Heck, Kaun's impressed the hell out of me lately. -

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Feb 12, 2008 -> 04:30 AM) Maybe I am the only one that sees it, but when watching that highlight, I saw the foul and had no problem with the call. The problem is, a human cannot react as quickly as tenths of seconds on a clock so the call comes in later. And if that's not enough, any team wearing those ugly assed pink uniforms, regardless of how good their cause is, SHOULD get screwed. UGH I hate the Rutgers coach, so I'm happy they got screwed. -
Edmonds was on his way to the Sox

QUOTE(knightni @ Feb 11, 2008 -> 01:29 AM) http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?s=...t&p=1572460 Yeah. You ever notice how many ex-/present Angels are injury-prone? Edmonds, Erstad, Anderson, Glaus, Donnelly, McPherson... Yep, and two of them are known steroid users, and Edmonds is someone that has always been very suspicious. -
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 11, 2008 -> 02:20 AM) Nah, you know that annual thread will pop up in a few weeks as well. As will the comments in the paper that "X" pitcher is focusing on their location.

QUOTE(Brian @ Feb 9, 2008 -> 04:17 AM) Bruce Weber was on hand to watch Jereme Richmond disappear in the 4th quarter as Waukegan lost to Evanston 45-32. Richmond right now would fit in with Illinois. Can't hit a jumper and is 50% from the free throw line. Also loves yelling at his teammates and coach. I've heard a lot of concerning comments made regarding his attitude this season. -

How can you not put the ball in Gordon's hands there and tell him to win it for you? Good thing I hate both these teams. -

QUOTE(Jenksismyb**** @ Feb 1, 2008 -> 02:51 AM) i find these comments hilarious. honestly i dont think howard has done anything. yeah he's a good recruiting tool, but i think its more that weber has been recruiting and offering scholarships much earlier. Instead of hoping a senior commits, he's basically offering 2-3 so's and jr's schollies and telling them the first to commit gets to play at Illinois. Also, whats this commit mean for Young? I really liked what I saw from him. Do we still have a scholarship for him? Howard has connections that Weber could only dream of. -

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jan 28, 2008 -> 02:55 AM) I know you love to give all the credit in the world to the Cubs, but Lilly had NEVER pitched 200 innings before last season, and his ERA was more than a half run less than his career average(granted, the NL Central will do that to a lot of pitchers.) The Cubs are lucky to be in the tallest midget competition they call the Central. I think Z will have a better season than last, but there is NO WAY Marmol repeats what he did last season. I still think he will have a fantastic 08, but either way, there will still be some regression. I hate Ted Lilly....but he's still a solid starting pitcher. Jason Marquis is laughable, but I just didn't understand the Lilly hate. He'd easily be our #3.

QUOTE(Brian @ Jan 28, 2008 -> 02:47 AM) Ha Ha North Side. Have fun with Lilly and Marquis. What's wrong with Lilly? He's one of the top 25 starters in the NL.

I'm just thankful Bedard's not going to the Cubs.

I remember at the beginning of the 2005 season, Boers and Bernstein had KW on the radio. They go "I didn't know bone marrow edema in the knee caused your forearms to get significantly smaller". They were implying Ordonez was now off steroids, and KW laughed and said they better change the subject.

QUOTE(bear_brian @ Jan 18, 2008 -> 03:09 PM) It seems like signing Dotel - and possibly signing Colon - give us more ammunition to swing a more major trade for a lead-off hitter, a centerfielder, or more pitching. Am thinking about one of the following: 1. Crede and MacDougal to the Brewers for Bill Hall 2. MacDougal, Aardsma, Richar, Floyd, Uribe and cash to Baltimore for Roberts and Bedard. Don't laugh - the Orioles have no shortstop, need bullpen arms, would love the PR from Floyd since he is an Annapolis native, and seem determined to chop payroll. 3. Matt Thornton and John Shelby for Coco Crisp (if the Santana deal does not happen). Red Sox don't need much, but could use another lefty out of the pen. Just some thoughts. We still need more pieces to contend ... Too late

QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Jan 17, 2008 -> 03:10 AM) Apparentley it isnt quite dead....seen this on mlbrumors.com TIFWIW Report: Cubs to Acquire Roberts According to ESPN 1000 in Chicago, the Cubs and Orioles have reached a tentative agreement on a trade that would send Brian Roberts to the Cubs for at least three players. It sounds iffy because no players are known but it is believed that they are holding off on announcing it until this weekends Cubs Convention. The Cubs have been known to save announcements on signings and such till the Convention. Last year, it was the signing of Jeff Samardjiza, so it is possible. Also, with the signing of Jon Lieber it would make sense they would trade a pitcher like Sean Marshall or Sean Gallagher. More on this as it unfolds... Pie or Hill better be in the deal.

So I read elsewhere that the lady who lost last night, Belinda Gavin, is actually a softcore adult actress.
