  1. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jun 6, 2007 -> 01:53 AM) Any gems by Hawk tonight? Oh ya....said that we're as patient as the Yankees at the plate.
  2. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 6, 2007 -> 01:52 AM) He's given up 5 runs in 5 and a third innings against a tied for last place team, including 4 in this inning. I can't go and find that impressive. It's not impressive....but the 2006 Buehrle you're trying to talk about would have given up 3 homers in the first 3 innings and everyone would have been complaining about his velocity. I don't care what their record is....this is the best lineup we face.
  3. Impressive display of range this inning. You can always count on that from the right side of our infield.
  4. QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Jun 6, 2007 -> 01:49 AM) So you really want Mackowiak over there? Actually, it might be better to play Uribe at 3B and Cintron at SS, as far as I'm concerned. Yep, Mackowiak played a lot of 3b for Pitt. I've never understood why we don't use him more in the infield....it gives him a lot more value as a utility stud than making him a CF.
  5. BTW...will someone please explain to me why we pitched to the best hitter in the AL with an open base?
  6. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 6, 2007 -> 01:45 AM) What part of that do you not agree with? Those were as fast a 3 hits as I've seen all year. The 2006 Buehrle gave up homer after homer. Believe it or not, this Yankees lineup is damn good. Buehrle didn't have much tonight, and if it wasn't for those double plays, we would have been out of the game early on.
  7. QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Jun 6, 2007 -> 01:46 AM) AC is the 3rd option behind Crede, and Ozuna, its not like Ozzie wants to play him!!! He should never be playing 3b due to his arm. Put Mackowiak at 3b, and let Terrero play LF. That gives you a better team offensively and defensively.
  8. I'm still at a loss for words how you don't have Cintron playing closer. Everyone knows Jeter is a great bunter, and when you add in the fact that Cintron has no arm (and Jeter knows that), you have to take away the chance of a bunt hit.
  9. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 6, 2007 -> 01:44 AM) This is 2006 Buehrle right here. A collapse so fast you can't keep up with it on your scorecard. Another run here and we should be done. Just stop
  10. How in the hell do you not know he's bunting? I don't even watch many Yankees games, and Jeter always bunts in that situation. Looks like we just got outmanaged.
  11. And we're about to be trailing in this game.
  12. We don't even make hard outs. I've been watching a ton of Indians and Tigers games lately, and they just seem to be swinging with aluminum bats or something. Any chance Buehrle can get us back in the dugout tied?
  13. Well, I guess that's why I'm Mr. Pessimism. This offense is just not good.
  14. Can I be optimistic and say that I think Dye's going to make this 4-1.
  15. Holy cow....another proud moment for our minor league system. I feel bad for Terrero.
  16. Clippard can't even throw two straight pitches for strikes. This is the 2nd worst pitcher we've faced this year, after Colby Lewis.
  17. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 6, 2007 -> 01:26 AM) He is doing a really good Pods impression, appears I was dead wrong about JO. Although he had no shot at Cano there even with a great throw. Pickoffs are fun. Owens is no better than a 5th outfielder.
  18. Buehrle got away from pitching in, which has been the pitch which has saved him tonight.
  19. To be honest, I don't blame ARod. He probably thought Jeter would be covering with the man in motion.
  20. Beautiful swing by Mackowiak on that pitch.
  21. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 6, 2007 -> 01:13 AM) I officially hate Joe Mays, he showed the league a blueprint on how to beat a Greg Walker pull monkey offense. Low and Away, a passable change in the dirt, and let the magic happen. That's funny, because this guy reminds me of Cy Mays. I always remember how slow he made the bats look.
