  1. Have these guys never seen a changeup? No wonder we can't hit Johan.
  2. One of the worst games of the year for Dye. We keep chasing that changeup out of the zone.
  3. QUOTE(quickman @ Aug 16, 2006 -> 01:51 AM) I agree Joey made a poor decision but I really think Javy needs a doctor. He hits the sixth inning and he turns into a pussy I know I'm a pessimist, but I think that most people could see the 6th inning was a disaster waiting to happen.
  4. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 16, 2006 -> 01:50 AM) You know that doesn't apply. You can say it was a terrible decision, but you can't say it was a terrible decision because Paul got a hit next inning. But you know that. I know what you're saying. I just hate that decision with PK coming to the plate. I still can't believe he did that.
  5. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 16, 2006 -> 01:46 AM) The good news is we still are going to see KC pitching the rest of the evening. We need our 4-5-6 to get it going here. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 16, 2006 -> 01:47 AM) Well the offense will be fine and I think we won't end up with 2 tonight, but the fact that 5 and dive Javy is officially back is not good news. He should NEVER pitch past the 5th ever, that Toronto game was an abberation. And although with that said, that Dye error and having 2 runs in 5 innings off the worst SP in baseball shows the lack of focus showed up 1 day late. Did a certain manager of the White Sox really say it wasn't realistic to think we'd sweep this series? I heard that he said that on the radio, but I wasn't sure.
  6. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 16, 2006 -> 01:45 AM) Nice to come home from work and see that Runysomething Hernadez with a 8 ERA shut down our team, and then see that Javy's clock hit the 6th inning and he implodes again. Maybe someone can man the hell up on the O. Don't worry, the score doesn't resemble how the game has really gone. Dye dropped a fly ball to allow one run, and our runs were a gift from the umpire and then a TERRIBLE decision by Cora to run us out of the inning.
  7. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 16, 2006 -> 01:44 AM) Was he talking about how great Cora is, or was he lambasting umpires? Funny how when Uribe was obviously out, Hawk said it was a tough call. Silvy called him out for whining about the umpires, and Hawk said that it wasn't whining since it was a fact that the umpires cost the Sox 2 games on the homestand. He was stating that it was a fact that Garland had K'd Jeter and Abreu.
  8. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 16, 2006 -> 01:42 AM) And those 2 were a gift from the first base umpire. He wanted to give a couple more, but Joey wasn't having any of it. Did anyone hear Hawk embarrass himself with Carmen/Silvy this afternoon?
  9. He faces Santana in his next start....he better man up.
  10. At least Ozzie learns from previous mistakes.
  11. Ozzie...are you awake? Man, I love the fans booing now.
  12. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 16, 2006 -> 01:40 AM) The scary part about Vazquez's struggles the first half was he wasn't giving up many homers, something he has really struggled with the last couple of seasons. It appears those totals are starting to rise quickly. From the very first inning, you could tell the long ball would haunt him tonight.
  13. How many hard hit balls do they need before Ozzie pulls him? Some bad D by our right side tonight.
  14. We're lucky Vazquez has only given up 4, as he has nothing tonight.
  15. That was very, very predictable. Thanks Joey for giving them the momentum back. Hey Ozzie....3rd time thru the order, and the 6th inning still equals disaster.
  16. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 16, 2006 -> 01:36 AM) Big inning for Javy here. Tough tough inning. Well, that's not a good start. Ozzie doesn't have anyone up in the pen.
  17. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 16, 2006 -> 01:35 AM) Where is the throw away the ball Royals that we see all the time when they play the Twins or Tigers? Does anyone ever mess up a relay against the Sox?
  18. Now Vazquez has to face their 2-3-4. We had the chance to bust this game open, but Cora gave the Royals the momentum back.
  19. Joey Cora doesn't deserve a job in the majors.
  20. What a stupid decision! That's pathetic with PK on deck. Thanks for nothing Joey.
  21. That a boy Iguchi! Great to get those runs back...now give us the lead Jim.
  22. I can't believe the Tigers pitched to Ortiz.
  23. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 16, 2006 -> 01:30 AM) Good to get that run in. Too bad it wasn't in a gap. He hit it hard. Unlucky in some spots tonight with the lumber. When Pods hits the ball with authority straight away like that, it's usually a gapper.
