Ozzie likes Mack in center
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 06:22 PM) Yeah totally. I mean, who wants to blame the pitching when we could blame the best offense in baseball, and our extremely successful manager? Even Homer Hawk today said that our pitching would have been significantly better this season if Ozzie focused on putting the best defense behind them possible.

And That's a White Sox Loser
These last two posts sure didn't catch my sarcasm. Sorry guys.

Ozzie likes Mack in center
QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 05:49 PM) ''I don't care about Frank right now,'' Guillen said. ''If Frank gets a base hit, it takes five hits to score him." Yeah, Ozzie, it's not like we have anybody like that. Ozzie made 3 real ignorant comments last night....great to know he's focused on finding a way to help this team win.

Ozzie likes Mack in center
QUOTE(TheOcho @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 05:36 PM) This could get ugly ... Hopefully the media won't be intimidated by Ozzie and challenge him on why he's not putting this team in the best position to succeed.

Ozzie likes Mack in center
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 05:33 PM) So it's not just the fans, baseball anylists and baseball writers anymore? Hawk Harrelson has now jumped on the what the hell is Ozzie thinking bandwagon? So even Ozzie's biggest backer can see how completely insane his lineups have become, wow. Don't worry, he disclaimed his thoughts by saying there's no other manager he'd rather have.

Ozzie likes Mack in center
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 05:26 PM) Alot of us can't stand Ozzie now. Can you imagine what he is going to be like when the media really starts to criticize him, and he gets the "Me against the world mentality...." He'll keep threatening that he'll quit. Hopefully the door will hit him on the way out. I can't believe that after a week in which we consistently saw no hustle or intensity on key plays from guys like Pods, AJP, and Dye, Ozzie finally decided to snap and it was due to a lack of alcohol in the clubhouse.

Ozzie likes Mack in center
Hawk was just on the Score, and he came as close as I've ever heard from him of ripping on Ozzie. He said that it's stupid to keep putting Mackowiak out in CF. He also said that our intensity this year has been a real disappointment.

Ozzie likes Mack in center
So we want our best offense to be in the lineup every game. And that means that Gload's not in LF for Podsednik....why? Ozzie can't quit soon enough. Pretty soon, he's going to want a team of all 30 year old players and older. Maybe he can go manage the Giants.

Jim Thome
You don't trade Thome. However, you need to give him more rest throughout the season, and it would be wise to have a righty on the bench who you can put in the lineup against guys like C.C., Randy Johnson, etc.

And That's a White Sox Loser
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 05:04 AM) It will be a beautiful day in the city of Chicago when that useless scrub is finally dismissed. It should be fun watching Pods Blak blow ass in the leadoff spot in '07 and beyond. At least Pierre will make contact, won't take a called 3rd strike, will hustle on defense, and can bunt. I don't want him to sign with the Sox....but I'll take anything over Pods.

And That's a White Sox Loser
This team can't catch a break. The umpires are really out to get us. That last pitch to Konerko was a ball. It wasn't even close to being a strike!

And That's a White Sox Loser
I'm so thankful that Ozzie continues to put Mackowiak in CF. Luckily, putting him in CF hasn't haunted us once this season, so I can't fault our great manager for continuing to put him out there.

White Sox @ A's Game Thread
What was that, about 6 called 3rd strikes tonight? I hope these guys don't try too hard....they might hurt themselves.

This team sucks. SWING THE FREAKING BAT.

Is Fields going to break a record with most games played before he finally gets his first MLB AB?

When Pods leaves, there's going to be a lot of depressed fat teenage girls in the Chicago area.

Thome hasn't seen a fastball in the last 2 months he's not afraid to foul off.

QUOTE(SoxHawk1980 @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 04:46 AM) Did anyone see any intensity in the Sox tonight? Or are the A's twice as good as the Sox? This game was lost when our manager made the lineup.

Amazing AB by Iguchi. These guys are a heartless bunch of underachievers. They don't deserve the playoffs.

QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 04:43 AM) i cant possibly understand why he is still on the bench right now. Because he's not a power hitter or a speed player (even though he leads this team in infield hits)

White Sox @ A's Game Thread
If Street comes in, I'd rather see Gload face him than Iguchi.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 04:41 AM) Zito and his big curveballs versus the corpseball express tomorrow night is looking like a lock for us huh. Well, he owns the Sox, so we might as well just conceed the game now.

QUOTE(SoxHawk1980 @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 04:40 AM) Aaaaaah, I see. Well, if some injections are all it takes, then perhaps so. Of course, there are a few guys in our starting lineup that might want to take that trip with him.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 04:37 AM) Oh, wait Marco Scutaro with another hit. I forgot he was an all-star this year. Scutaro is hitting about .035 points better than our "All-star", AJP, during the 2nd half of the season.
