  1. QUOTE(S720 @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 01:48 AM) To those of you who have angrily complained about Ozzie putting Rob in CF, please send your apology. I guess there's a reason why we always manage our White Sox team via virtualization. This makes no sense. We're mad because Mackowiak should be our LF, and Pods should be in the Frontier League. Also, for all of Mackowiak's offensive contributions, it doesn't come close to matching the amount of runs he's accounted for the other team scoring due to his defensive miscues. Good grief, you f***ing suck Pods.
  2. Pods should be bunting here. I know he can't bunt, but at least he would avoid the DP.
  3. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 01:44 AM) Pods had to be playing down the line. Yes, but if he's playing down the line, then why isn't Mackowiak shifted more to left center? Everyone knows Tyner slaps the ball the opposite way.
  4. QUOTE(Felix @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 01:43 AM) Yep, I was just expecting a "BA would've caught it, f*** you Ozzie" post from someone. I don't blame you. There's some people who honestly think that no ball has ever landed in CF when Anderson is out there. He's been very good on defense this season, but he can only get to so much.
  5. Excellent pitch sequence to Bartlett. We have our real leadoff guy batting first here, so hopefully we get something started.
  6. QUOTE(Felix @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 01:42 AM) BA wouldn't have caught that either. That was the LF's ball. Make a good pitch here Vazquez!
  7. Some pretty sad range out there by Pods/Mackowiak. It looks like both guys thought the other would get it. Pods...you contribute so much to this team.
  8. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 01:40 AM) Good thing if we survive this game is they probably won't use him the next 2 days since he's saving their pen. Well it doesn't matter who they have in the bullpen tomorrow, and the rest of their bullpen (besides Eyre) is better than Guerrier.
  9. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 01:39 AM) And that's a big reason why i was so upset about Gload getting thrown out in the 2nd. When you have a chance to have a big inning against these guys, you dont make stupid mistakes like that.. Well said
  10. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 01:37 AM) Guerrier is so good. I was a big fan of his and hated when we dealt him for Marte (obviously that was a good move for us though). But man we are gonna have trouble hitting him, it always seems like we do. Hopefully Javy can stay strong and stay out of the big inning. Guerrier does a great job of throwing his curve in fastball situations.
  11. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 01:37 AM) I am thinking that Brian passes Taz in batting average by the end of the year. Well, Anderson has about 17 starts left this year, so he better get hot.
  12. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 01:36 AM) We traded him for Marte, which I really can't call a bad trade, despite Damaso's struggles last year. It was a great trade for the Sox.
  13. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 01:36 AM) Uribe's like a dog, he LOVES to chase balls You took the politically correct, G rated version with this punchline.
  14. QUOTE(beautox @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 01:34 AM) Juan Uribe with patience, and a sac bunt tonight, this is looking like Juan of second half '05 ....as he chases ball four.
  15. Guerrier has a 1.64 career ERA against the Sox.
  16. QUOTE(Chopper2Hopper @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 01:31 AM) Cleveland up 4-2 in the bottom of the 8th, is Carmona really gonna come in and blow it in the 9th? Isn't Mastny their new closer? I've missed the premature "Stretch" call recently.
  17. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 01:28 AM) Nice to see Javy isn't throwing as many meatballs tonite. He's doing this with a medicore fastball so far. He just has to keep his offspeed pitches down.
  18. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 01:27 AM) There's no excuse to not bring in McCarthy early if Vazquez starts to falter Who will make the first Cy Young joke tonight?
  19. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 01:23 AM) Not that i can remember. As much as i like to see Radke possibly hurt for the TWins, he was looking very hittable tonite. I hope that 2nd inning doesn't come back to haunt us I would have much rather Radke stay in this game.
  20. AJP keeps pulling every pitch. We have to hope he finds his bat speed during the last 30 games of the season.
  21. QUOTE(Felix @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 01:21 AM) I didn't see it, but I don't remember Tyner having a decent arm, and Gload has pretty good speed. I'd have probably sent him too, but thats without knowing where the ball/runner was when it happened. Tyner has a lot of assists recently though, as he does a great job of getting rid of the ball quickly. With two outs, it's the right call. But with one out and Radke having NOTHING on the mound, I thought it was a brutal call.
  22. Is Liriano still supposed to be a mid-September target?
  23. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 01:19 AM) 2nd and 3rd, 1 out, base hit by Mack to LF, 1 run scores, Cora sends Gload from 2nd, thrown out at home, Podsednik out, inning over. It was a rocket, one hop single to a charging Tyner in LF.
  24. Have we ever done good against Guerrier?
