  1. That was one of the funnier innings I've ever seen.
  2. QUOTE(Jimbo @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 01:35 AM) hopefully the yanks will lose i want a huge cushion in the wild card for us and the tigers, take that east coast s*** heads Absolutely!
  3. GREAT PLAY!!! Some very nice defense bailed out some offensive issues tonight. You don't see Crede make the bare-handed play often.
  4. If you've ever seen Wilson face the Cubs good stuff pitchers, you would have had no doubt he'd K vs Jenks.
  5. Crede barely made that play...but it was a nice stretch by Gload.
  6. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 01:30 AM) If Gload came in defensively, why didn't he pinch run? I was thinking the same exact thing.
  7. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 01:27 AM) And delivered. Yep..I believe it was against Tampa. I'll always laugh that Uribe won a game with a walk-off walk.
  8. Nice!!! I still think it was the wrong choice to not have PK bat there, but I'll take it. I just had an epiphany about how spoiled we are when I make a comment about wanting someone to hit for Jim Thome.
  9. PK should be hitting for Thome here.
  10. Pretty close play at first. An insurance run would be huge. Sanchez might be a tough batter for Jenks leading off the inning.
  11. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 01:13 AM) I go there every year, and every year I say I won't ever go again. I'm going again. Its nice to watch the Sox beat the Cubs, although I am really concerned with the series coming up. It's their World Series this wknd. Gotta be careful with Bay here.
  12. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 01:13 AM) why the hell are they playing the Dodgers?? Dodgers are better than any NL Central team they would have had to play.
  13. Ozzie should have done a double-switch with Anderson in CF and McCarthy in the 7th spot in the order.
  14. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 01:10 AM) BTW the Twins refuse to lose. They're definitely going to continue on this run. They have 2/5 of their rotation being guys that it seems you have no chance to beat even before the game starts.
  15. A couple of hard hit balls that inning for the Sox.
  16. We're facing Duke on Thursday now, who's a damn good lefty pitcher.
  17. Nice strikeout. I wonder if we'll see Anderson come in to face the lefty here.
  18. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 01:02 AM) They gave our pitchers fits. We weren't going in and out against them enough. You need to get their hitters to move their feet.
  19. Lucky that ball stayed in the park. That was right in Hernandez's wheel house.
  20. Another very nice defensive play by Iguchi.
  21. QUOTE(Maverick0984 @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 12:59 AM) why do we have such trouble beating s***ty teams? This game is a carbon copy of the type of games we've lost to Tampa and KC over the past few years.
  22. Buehrle's been getting hit hard. Even Hawk is stating that this game has a terrible feel.
  23. Something to look out for....Carlos Lee hit a homer against Zambrano, and had quite the pose after he hit it. It will be interesting to see if Zambrano throws at him next time.
  24. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 12:48 AM) You gotta admit, everytime you look at the scorebaord you see Detroit giving up very few runs. Their pitching staff is for real. It's very rare to see one of their starters give up 9 ERs in 6 innings. Which is why they can't be considered a fluke right now. Their pitchers have been amazingly consistent.
