  1. Wow....we got so lucky! This team can definitely drive you crazy.
  2. QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 01:34 AM) Gomez is not going to go deep here. You begging for a jinx?
  3. Nice pitch by Contreras. Didn't really move a lot, but it was placed perfectly.
  4. What's the chances their leadoff walk scores? It took about 20 seconds for our leadoff walk to be erased.
  5. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 01:27 AM) At least we made him throw some pitches that inning....heading to the 6th 2-2. Doesn't matter how many pitches he's thrown at this point in the game. Their bullpen is good enough where it's almost better to have Verlander still in the game.
  6. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 01:24 AM) Mack should be pulled for Anderson right now. That's a joke, put in BA, I don't care if he can't hit. If Ozzie's going to pull a Sox player for every mental lapse, we're going to have 3 guys on the field by the end of the game.
  7. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 01:24 AM) Mack should be pulled for Anderson right now. That's a joke, put in BA, I don't care if he can't hit. Verlander has the quickest move by a righty in baseball.
  8. QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 01:22 AM) BTW I was away for a few minutes, what did Ozzie say about Cliff Politte in that little soundbyte? I came in right at the end of it. He appreciated Cliff trying to pitch with pain, but all it does it lead to a worse injury, and it hurts the team.
  9. QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 01:18 AM) Trouble here. He needs to throw a good offpeed pitch in this AB to get him out. Ordonez will flare a fastball if left over the plate. Got away with a hanger.
  10. After watching this game, I'm confident in saying we're a much better hitting team against a pitcher with a strong fastball than we are a finesse pitcher. We're taking great swings tonight...and will probably look foolish vs Rogers tomorrow.
  11. Crede's been all over Verlander tonight...but no results. He's the anti Carlos Guillen.
  12. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 01:08 AM) No, I did not. But he just hasn't looked himself. I notice a lot more 3-2 counts than before, and more walks. I remember before he would shut the guys down and would rarely get to full counts. DYE! He also was facing some crappy hitting teams. He faced KC, the Angels (who were slumping), and the Twins (slumping). He's a very good pitcher, but he hasn't had the same stuff he had during the 2nd half of last season.
  13. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 01:08 AM) Nasty change. PK missed that pitch by a foot
  14. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 01:05 AM) I wonder what is causing his problems lately. Ever since the DL stint, he hasn't looked like the old Jose. It's never easy to come roaring right back from a back injury. I hope you didn't expect a sub 2 ERA all season.
  15. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 01:03 AM) Jose looks bad. Bad based off what he used to look like, I mean. By the end of June, if he's still not sharp, then I'll become concerned.
  16. Iguchi's up with a runner on 3rd base, and the Tigers start him off with low changeups since they know he's trying to hit a fly ball. Thames is up in the same situation, and we give him a first pitch fastball up.
