  1. If anything, tonight's lineup really makes me appreciate our typical 2 thru 8 positions in our lineup.
  2. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 03:33 AM) Haha. You guys are too uptight. That was f***ing hilarious.
  3. Why can't any of our guys use two hands when they catch the ball? Even Cintron has to make us anxious. Jon....good thing you got out of that inning.
  4. Ibanez absolutely destroys Garland/Sox in these situations. One of the tougher outs vs the Sox.
  5. Oh my god....that's absolutely unexcusable. Wake the f*** UP JON!
  6. Wow...massive hanger he got away with.
  7. QUOTE(toasty @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 03:27 AM) they didnt mention me by name tonight, but did you catch dj say that his guy got an email about shingo being with the yakult swallows? I emailed that in after the first emailer asked where shingo was and hawk said I DUNNO! Well done
  8. Ichiro will definitely be stealing here. A couple of pitch-outs could help.
  9. One of the worst AB of the year for Thome. It feels like we blew our chance to get to Moyer, and he's in a groove now.
  10. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 03:16 AM) You know, I'm just not that comfortable with the way Garland looks on the mound right now, even though it's working for now. He's behind on too many hitters, he's not working inside at all, every single pitch to Beltre there was low & away. Last year, he feasted off of his sinker in. This year, he's staying more on the outside with all of his pitches. He seems to be aiming his slider though.
  11. Good inning for Garland. It would be nice to see some quality AB by the Sox this inning.
  12. QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 03:13 AM) The replay looked like he caught it, but he signaled Garland to first, so I guess not. The ball was loose underneath his glove. Oh well...an out's an out, and it was a very good play.
  13. Good stop by PK....he definitely didn't catch that ball.
  14. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 03:09 AM) Moyer is the type of pitcher I would expect Anderson to have no success with. At least we found a pitcher he can pull the ball against.
  15. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 03:08 AM) Mack a slight disappointment so far. He's a very, very streaky hitter.
  16. Wow, that first pitch strike to Anderson was as bad of a call you'll see.
  17. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 03:05 AM) Who gives a rat's ass about the 2003 Red Sox? Seriously Hawk, STHU and call the game. Why...he was simply answering the question someone e-mailed him. I actually think it's refreshing to hear Hawk talk about something non-homerish related.
  18. Very good sequence by Garland to pitch over the bloop hit.
  19. Good grief....I still can't imagine how a World Series contending team has to play an infielder in the outfield once a week?
  20. I'd never thought I'd say this, but I miss Crede in this lineup. Cintron's swing is way too long against a guy like Moyer.
  21. Moyer has Cintron set up for the low change away.
  22. Big hit here, as you'd hate to see 5 guys left in scoring position in first 3 innings.
  23. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 02:51 AM) He apparently also has issues with his balls. Shoulder problems = scared of bats = afraid to throw strikes
  24. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 02:51 AM) Widger mentioned last week that Garland was having shoulder issues, but seemed to be feeling better before his last start. I saw that quote, and was surprised that not more was made about it.
