  1. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 06:45 PM) That makes absolutely no sense, the guy is getting to the ball and is using proper form to catch it. But you want him what, to look pissed off as he catches? What does that do? Yep, I don't care how he looks, as long as he makes the play. That's like someone saying that Uribe is too laid back in the field, and they'd rather he play like a spaz like Nomar.
  2. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 06:45 PM) Let Iguchi swing away please. I hate playing for one run with the way our 3-4-5 is going.
  3. There you go Pods. Good swing with 2 strikes.
  4. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 06:40 PM) Jermaine Dye was last year I believe. There's no comparison between a guy who's a proven slugger in the majors and a guy who's never proven he can play at this level. I know there are a lot of guys who are hitting below .200 in baseball right now....but I doubt many of them look like a pitcher trying to bat like Anderson.
  5. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 06:36 PM) Until his defense begins to suffer. Or until the rest of our offense cools down. I still predict that if Anderson looks clueless by the end of May, we'll see a change made.
  6. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 06:34 PM) Patterson takes the third strike looking. Inning over. Patterson >>>>>>>> Anderson
  7. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 06:33 PM) Anderson takes a called third strike. Inning over. Someone needs to tell Anderson you can't get a hit if you don't swing the bat.
  8. Lots of home run swings so far. Against Silva, that's not going to work.
  9. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 06:24 PM) Quick inning there. Lets get the bats going now. We can definitely string together a couple of hits in an inning against Silva. We just have to avoid hitting into double plays.
  10. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 06:16 PM) This is an honest question, because I really don't know. Has Pods gotten on base to lead off a game once this year? Yes, I know he's had a leadoff double and triple this season.
  11. QUOTE(Princess Dye @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 06:12 PM) AARON ROWAND WOULDVE THROWN THAT GUY OUT He would have hit the back of the pitcher's mound, and he would have killed 100 worms on the throw.
  12. 1-0 Twins on the sac fly. The walk hurt Contreras.
  13. Every other word Garcia says is "you know". It's his transition from one period to another. It's quite comical to listen to if you focus on it.
  14. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 02:04 AM) He has said he needs regular work to keep building up his arm, so it could be that he wanted to get in in a game like this. Yep, it's not a big deal at all. Like Rowand said, when we have this to complain about....things are going well.
  15. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 02:02 AM) Maybe they're having Jenks come into a game situation to throw his breaking balls? Is he throwing them? Nope. Jenks has had plenty of work. Thornton's someone who could have used an inning. It's fine though...as long as he doesn't get hurt.
  16. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 02:00 AM) Why Bobby? Yo no comprendo. Yep...this should have been Thornton or Politte.
  17. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 01:54 AM) What the f*** happened to Jesse Crain? This guy was like 9-0 or something out of the pen for the Twins late last year and now he couldn't get his sister out. Wow, another skud missle right there and White brings it back. He's one of those guys that no one knew how he actually got guys out.
  18. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 01:42 AM) I would like to say that I hate having Brandon in right now. I don't like the fact that he's working in 2 innings every darn game he's in. Let Thornton pitch, it's been a while. I'd rather see if McCarthy can get us to the 9th inning with a big lead, and then bring in Thornton. If you're going to bring McCarthy in, might as well take advantage of it.
  19. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 01:41 AM) Pretty much. Right now, he's getting himself out between the ears. He's actually trying to be too patient. He wouldn't be striking out as much if he was more aggressive. His contact skills aren't as bad as what he's shown, but he's running deep counts and trying to fight pitches off. Once he reaches a healthy balance of swinging early when he likes his pitches, and taking when he's comfortable against a pitcher, we'll see a different hitter at the plate. I couldn't agree more. He's so in-between at the plate. I'd rather just see him swing hard, and try to hit the ball in the gaps or over the fence. Honestly, he looks like a pitcher at the plate right now. He's not coming close to getting his arms extended on his swings.
