  1. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 08:16 PM) We wondered where you were. Glad to see you're okay. What did he say that's wrong? I know you hate him not being positive, but this is a bad inning.
  2. Our pitchers, for the most part, have lacked any killer instinct this year. Ozzie's too busy trying to get them wins instead of doing what's best to win the game.
  3. Any real possibility of a rain out? With a 5 run lead, I'd love to see this game continue today. I hope Ozzie is smart though with Garcia. No reason to have him go back on the mound if the delay last longer than an hour or so.
  4. Just one more thing....I think the 2 home run game against Felix raised his expectations with many fans to unreasonable levels.
  5. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 02:45 PM) And I still think he can. But I think it's just unfair that people are already practically giving up on him, and comparing him to Corey Patterson. We've only played in 11 games so far. Rookies are gonna hit bumps in the road, and that's a fact of life. Let's hope Anderson's hitting his major one right now, and that he can get things sorted out, and become the hitter people expect him to. I think it would be a lot easier to accept Anderson's struggles right now if Pods could actually do something. Instead, we've had far too many games where the 9/1 is an automatic 2 outs. It's too bad that Mackowiak is swinging the bat well, as that would at least give us some production from CF. The most concering thing, IMO, with Anderson is that he just isn't hitting the ball well (same with Pods).
  6. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 02:41 PM) I have a question. How many people here (and be truthful here) realistically expected Brian Anderson to come in and produce like Jeff Francouer did when he came up for the Braves last season? Personally, I thought he'd be able to come close to matching Rowand's numbers from last year.
  7. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 04:16 AM) BBTN just said "Coming up next, possibly the web gem of the year." Are you sure they're not talking about the catch that Brendan Harris made to win the Nats game?
  8. BTW....this game was so similar to the Buehrle game vs the Mariners last year where PK hit both homers to win in that super fast game.
  9. Amazing play by Iguchi. It was great to see Jenks just so strike after strike. Good job Ozzie!
  10. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 08:02 PM) Yah. Reasons for both ways. Buerhle looks incredible right now, but Wells hits him, and Glaus is up after. Yeah, I support Ozzie's decision either way.....at least until the pitcher does bad
  11. The Blue Jays have themselves a terrific bullpen.
  12. Ozzie has a real tough call coming up here.
  13. I think Ozzie will use Thornton. However, there's really only one lefty in their lineup right now.
  14. Rob....stop swinging at the first pitch.
  15. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 07:38 PM) Who is pitching for the Jays tomorrow? Towers? Yes. He gave us trouble last year.
  16. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 07:37 PM) Bengie is a scary, scary hitter in these situations. He's such a strange hitter. A lot of the time, he just throws his bat at the ball, and it will result in bloopers or easy pop ups. Thankfully, we got the latter there.
  17. Fantastic pitches by Buehrle there. Lets get Molina out....PLEASE!
  18. Our pitchers are having a miserable time pitching with a lead.
  19. 3 terrific swings by PK today.
  20. That's just a weak, weak swing. He should be taking a strike in every AB right now.
  21. QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 07:22 PM) BTW, is Uribe hurt or is Ozzie making a point with 3 games on the pine He's a little dinged up, but I think Ozzie also feels like Cintron is playing better right now. I have no problem with Cintron getting Uribe's ABs, especially against someone like AJB. It's just too bad Cintron can't play CF.
  22. Good, fast inning for Mark. We really could use Pods getting on base here.
  23. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 07:18 PM) The three outs that inning took 4 pitches. At least Pods is leading off next inning.
  24. WHERE WOULD HE PLAY? In all seriousness, do we have a hit from our center fielders this week?
  25. 2 straight innings, 2 straight first pitch outs.
