  1. Two potentially critical managerial errors made by Ozzie.
  2. I was obviously upset with bringing in Hermanson over Jenks, but I want a civil conversation with my fellow Sox fans to discuss what they think about the critical pitching move.
  3. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 03:50 AM) Seems like we've only had a few really good pitches to hit of late. I guess not every pitcher is coming off of 25 days rest?
  4. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 03:44 AM) Man how the f*** do you walk those guys. DAMMIT. They walked those guys, but Hermanson had a job to do, and he failed. That was way too good of a pitch on 1-2 for Lane.
  5. QUOTE(mr_genius @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 03:40 AM) I would have brought in Duque instead of Hermy, but I don't think Ozzies call to bring in Hermanson was "f***ING STUPID". weren't you calling for Cotts to come in like the 5th? I just don't see why Hermanson should have been brought in there. He hasn't pitched in 25 days, and even when he pitched then, his stuff basically sucked. Lane is the type of hitter who you can blow the heater by, but he can crush the slow stuff with his long swing.
  6. QUOTE(mr_genius @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 03:37 AM) How? you guys were begging for Cotts... got him and walked someone wtf? Cotts was the right move. Bringing in Hermanson was f***ING STUPID! Hermanson basically hasn't been a part of this team for a month, yet we bring him in for one of the biggest outs of the year.
  7. These sliders don't have a lot of bite on them at all. I simply can't believe we didn't bring in Jenks, who just made Lane look silly.
  8. If I hear Ozzie mention that the reason he didn't bring Jenks in was cause he wasn't warmed up, I'll f***ing puke!
  9. f*** YOU OZZIE! Way to pitch someone who hasn't gone in 25 days. Worst managing decision of the year!
  10. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 03:34 AM) the layoff might have helped his back enough I heard today that he said it hasn't helped.
  11. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 03:33 AM) Bobby just started throwing. What took him so long to get up? That whole inning was set up so that it would be righty/lefty/righty.
  12. Lane can just sit back and crush hanging sliders...like what Hermanson throws. Jenks has made him look silly all series. Why Ozzie why? Go with your best!
  13. Looking like Marte. Oh no, why Hermanson here? Jenks has K'd Lane both times he's faced him. I think this is a terrible decision by Ozzie.
  14. Quick review...Cotts has thrown a ton of high fastballs to Lamb so far this series. I have a feeling he's going to be looking first pitch heater, so Cotts might want to make sure he doesn't pipe it.
  15. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 03:26 AM) I don't know, might just be me but it seemed that he was using a 2 seamer a lot when he was getting hit, the ball tailed in to righties and that was killing him. Absolutely correct
  16. Ugh, not even close. Looks like it's going to be Cotts vs Lamb, part III.
  17. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 03:23 AM) Great call fathom. And good move Ozzie! Sadly, I've seen so many Cubs/Astros games that I know how to pitch a lot of these guys.
  18. Great pitch! Avoid the inside fastball with Ensberg.
  19. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 03:21 AM) Ozzie is playing scared of the porch. Might not be wrong there He has a better chance of hitting one into the boxes lefty than he does righty.
  20. The infield needs to play close enough here that if they can get to it, they can get Taveras out at 1b. A leadoff infield single would fuel the fire.
