  1. This was a very good week for the Sox, as they went 5-1 against two of the best hitting teams in baseball. Right now, our 3-4-5 looks exceptional. The 5-1 is even more impressive given the fact that we didn't have a single hit from our center fielders all week.
  2. What an amazing complete game by Garcia. In all seriousness, the top of the 5th took so long, the field was probably unplayable after that inning.
  3. QUOTE(Linnwood @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 08:32 PM) So what are the odds of them calling this game? I can't remember the last time we won due to a game being called when it was official. I'm still annoyed we lost that game at Wrigley a few years ago.
  4. As my brother said "during the Sox games, the rain delay programming is Fresh Prince.....when the Cubs are delayed, it's Will and Grace".
  5. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 08:27 PM) So it's probably a good time to be throwing a bunch of breaking balls, right? That was disgusting. Actually, when you're pitching in the rain, it's probably the easiest position to play.
  6. QUOTE(allupons @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 08:25 PM) That was quite possibly the most frustrating inning of baseball I have ever watched. It's the third most frustrating inning in the last 9 days.
  7. What does the radar look like for the rest of the day.
  8. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 08:23 PM) Did you say that before or after the replay? Before. My first impression was that he tried to rush it to get the force at 2nd base.
  9. CALL THE f***ING GAME!
  10. What's the f***ing rush by Iguchi? He has the slowest runner in baseball at the plate. Anyways, this is a joke. These guys shouldn't be on the field.
  11. With the puddles already on the field, this might be the last batter of the game.
  12. Keep letting him go Ozzie. Who cares about the lead.
  13. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 08:16 PM) Hi. Hello
  14. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 08:16 PM) We wondered where you were. Glad to see you're okay. What did he say that's wrong? I know you hate him not being positive, but this is a bad inning.
  15. Our pitchers, for the most part, have lacked any killer instinct this year. Ozzie's too busy trying to get them wins instead of doing what's best to win the game.
  16. Any real possibility of a rain out? With a 5 run lead, I'd love to see this game continue today. I hope Ozzie is smart though with Garcia. No reason to have him go back on the mound if the delay last longer than an hour or so.
  17. Just one more thing....I think the 2 home run game against Felix raised his expectations with many fans to unreasonable levels.
  18. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 02:45 PM) And I still think he can. But I think it's just unfair that people are already practically giving up on him, and comparing him to Corey Patterson. We've only played in 11 games so far. Rookies are gonna hit bumps in the road, and that's a fact of life. Let's hope Anderson's hitting his major one right now, and that he can get things sorted out, and become the hitter people expect him to. I think it would be a lot easier to accept Anderson's struggles right now if Pods could actually do something. Instead, we've had far too many games where the 9/1 is an automatic 2 outs. It's too bad that Mackowiak is swinging the bat well, as that would at least give us some production from CF. The most concering thing, IMO, with Anderson is that he just isn't hitting the ball well (same with Pods).
  19. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 02:41 PM) I have a question. How many people here (and be truthful here) realistically expected Brian Anderson to come in and produce like Jeff Francouer did when he came up for the Braves last season? Personally, I thought he'd be able to come close to matching Rowand's numbers from last year.
  20. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 04:16 AM) BBTN just said "Coming up next, possibly the web gem of the year." Are you sure they're not talking about the catch that Brendan Harris made to win the Nats game?
  21. BTW....this game was so similar to the Buehrle game vs the Mariners last year where PK hit both homers to win in that super fast game.
  22. Amazing play by Iguchi. It was great to see Jenks just so strike after strike. Good job Ozzie!
  23. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 08:02 PM) Yah. Reasons for both ways. Buerhle looks incredible right now, but Wells hits him, and Glaus is up after. Yeah, I support Ozzie's decision either way.....at least until the pitcher does bad
  24. The Blue Jays have themselves a terrific bullpen.
  25. Ozzie has a real tough call coming up here.
