  1. That 2-1 strike call to Carlos what a bunch of s***. He'd been calling that a ball all game.
  2. Ozzie is f***ing disgracing himself. This was the poorest managed inning I've ever seen. Also, he should have Rowand hit for Ben Davis here. Rowand kills lefties.
  3. Am I the only one that has been extremely impressed by the Twins managing this series? They're doing all the little things right. A big reason they do all the little things is cause they have the perfect players for the style they play. In the offseason, Ozzie and KW are going ot have to develop a strategy, and find players that fit the bill.
  4. Way to prove me wrong Ben! However, Willie Harris is beyond brutal right now. I can't belive how far down are 2b combo has fallen.
  5. 2 quality starts now in his last 11 starts. Loaiza is s***.
  6. You don't think the Yanks would rather have him in the rotation than Tanyon Sturtze.?
  7. Nice to see Jose try to hit a grounder on the hit and run..not. He's giving himself no chance to do anything but homer, fly out, or K. It's good when you're hot, but not when you're facing good pitchers.
  8. If the Sox are about 8 games out in mid August, I wonder if Loaiza could pass waivers, and we could trade him ot the Yanks? Of course, I'd rather be in contention, but we should try to get something for him if we're not going to win this year.
  9. Loaiza is just brutal. Another great decision by Gardenhire on the hit and run.
  10. I forgot that Burke is shaken up. If Sandy isn't able to play often, why not put him on the DL (so he can stay on the bench) and bring up anotther reliever. We've used our relievers so much lately, and there's not been a day off for a long time.
  11. Good job Timo. Give a lot of credit to Crede for getting to 3rd on a ball that didnt get all that far away form the catcher.
  12. So we started Ben Davis is 2 of the 3 games in the biggest series of the year so far. Very intersting decision.
  13. Has there been any explanation on why Davis is playing again, especially a day game after a night game?
  14. Hopefully this won't get ugly. Twins are playing with so much confidence.
  15. With PK up and a sinkerballer pitching, why not try a hit-and-run to shake things up? The Twins have shoved it up the Sox ass the entire series by running the bases at every possible time.
  16. What type of odds could you get that Wilile Harris would hit a weak grounder to 2b and that Loaiza would get hit hard cause he kept pitching everything on the outside corner?
  17. This current team isn't very good, but that's what will happen when you lose your 2 best players. It just so happens that only Konerko, Lee, and Rowand are playing good right now, but no one else is stepping up. Lets just hope that KC unloads their team, and we can feast on minor league players like the Cubs did vs the Reds lst year.

Holy cow is Jackson throwing meatballs to the plate. Like last night, it also looks like he was scared to hit Hunter with an inside pitch. Davis was set up inside, and he threw it to the outside corner.

Bring in Jackson or Adkins and drill Hunter. Honestly, what is there to lose right now. This team could use any spark it could provide. HEre comes Jackson!!!

Well, Burke is hitting .300, and Davis is around .100. However, I agree that Ozzie doesn't have alot of options to use. This team could really use another righty hitter off the bench that could start at SS vs tough lefties (Tony G!). The 3 catchers on the roster doesn't make alot of sense.

Why are we letting someone who's batting about .100 for the year bat leading off the 8th when we're trying to make a comeback? There's no reason to have 3 catchers on the roster if you're not oging to benefit from it.

Another illustration of one of the main reasons that the Twins have been AL central champs over the last few years, and the Sox have not. The Twins produce players out of the minor league system, even including guys who aren't highly touted. Perfect examples of this are Ford and Rincon. Meanwhile, our super prospects like Borchard and Crede haven't lived up to expectations.
  23. It's too bad that the trade deadline isn't in another week instead of this Saturday. It would have given more time to see what direction this team is going in. If the Sox were to be 7 games back by the end of next week, then I woud say try to trade Loaiza. Tomorro'w game is all-so important for the rest of the season.

Before the Twins series, our true offense was being masked by the extreme hot streaks of Carlos and Konerko. It's ridiculous to think that Konerko can hit 14 homers in 25 games, and that Carlos can hit 11 homers in the month. The Sox are going ot need for Uribe to stop playing like s***, and to get some production from RF and C.
  25. I wouldn't say the season's over, and I'm the board pessimist. Rather, we can feast on KC if we play well the rest of the season. However, I just wonder if this team is good enough right now to beat up on bad teams like the Twins used to do.
