SOX vs. Angels 5-30-05
QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ May 30, 2005 -> 09:54 PM) Crede's crew is parked right next to Jose Jose Jose's crew. and D'Angelo's. I wanted to start the Wunsch Bunch last year, but good ole KW screwed with those plans.

QUOTE(TheBlackSox8 @ May 30, 2005 -> 09:53 PM) and get injured You said it, I didnt!

SOX vs. Angels 5-30-05
Crede gets a great pitch to hit, and puts his usual awful, uppercut swing on it and fouls it off.
-
SOX vs. Angels 5-30-05
Maybe Crede can get hit by a pitch again.

QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 30, 2005 -> 09:51 PM) Bets on Cruddy getting on base? With this pitcher in, I say about 15 pct.

SOX vs. Angels 5-30-05
QUOTE(AirScott @ May 30, 2005 -> 09:49 PM) I just looked, the Sox left 20 on base yesterday. They left 11 on base yesterday. The 20 is personal LOB, which isn't the real stat.

SOX vs. Angels 5-30-05
QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 30, 2005 -> 09:49 PM) I'm with DJ and hoping those shadows shut down the Angels' offense for the rest of the game. I have no faith in our offense scoring any insurance runs. We have got to retire Chone leading off next inning. Finley scares the crap out of me with how he's swinging now.

Now, if Crede's bunting here, I'll be pissed!

QUOTE(kapkomet @ May 30, 2005 -> 09:44 PM) Man... yes, we are struggling, but we're up 3-2. I don't think you'll be happy until we win 15-0 every day with no errors. That's the thing. A lot of us feel like the score should easily be like 7-2, etc. I guarantee you there'd be 100 times less complaining on here if that was the case.

Note to Buehrle....don't throw McPherson first pitch fastball!

SOX vs. Angels 5-30-05
QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 30, 2005 -> 09:42 PM) Ahhh, back to corpseball. At least it doesn't take us by surprise. Did we expect anything more today?

SOX vs. Angels 5-30-05
How can Uribe pop up a pitch that almost was in the dirt? He did his best Crede impression there. This game has the worst vibe ever, correct?

SOX vs. Angels 5-30-05
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 30, 2005 -> 09:39 PM) PK wants more money, that's all there is to it. Guys who hit homeruns get big contracts. He knows it. We know it. To me, he's looking like Maggs II. It's become obvious to me that we shouldn't resign PK after this season. Don't forget, his speed/health isn't going to get any better as he gets old. Let a team like the Mets give him 3 yr, 30 million. We can find a better defensive 1b who fits our style a little better (I don't necessarily like smallball, but if you're going to base your team on that style, you can't have a guy who can't run a lick clogging up the middle).

f***, Widger just missed that.

QUOTE(fathom @ May 30, 2005 -> 09:37 PM) 2 pitches, 2 called strikes on Dye. He'll swing at a bad pitch in the dirt likely. Maybe not! Good swing by Dye there.

QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ May 30, 2005 -> 09:35 PM) Bad time for Paulie to have a bad year: What sucks with PK now is that he's gone from being a very tough out/professional hitter to being a dead-pull hitter who will get himself out just as much as the pitcher will.

Anyone else notice that Majewski has a 1.25 ERA this season?

SOX vs. Angels 5-30-05
QUOTE(minorsfan @ May 30, 2005 -> 09:32 PM) I think you could say he is struggling at the plate... batting .213, but he is very young and not at all ready to advance. On a positive note he is pretty good in the field (no pun intended) C How old is Fields now? It's not like we're talking about a high school player advancing through the system. The problem is that QBs haven't had success making the adjustment over time.

SOX vs. Angels 5-30-05
My heart is skipping nearly every swing the Angels take. Buehrle is sure leaving a lot of good pitches up for them to hit.
-
SOX vs. Angels 5-30-05
Angels get one guy on, and they have no problem getting him in on the next pitch. We've played ourselves into a situation this game where one swing by the Angels could win the game for them.

SOX vs. Angels 5-30-05
Buehrle = meatballs. He is up with everything.

SOX vs. Angels 5-30-05
QUOTE(AirScott @ May 30, 2005 -> 09:28 PM) Garcia, I'm sure he did right before the game. Unreal. I'm sure Garcia spent hours before the game practicing the bunt. Crede practices bunting at least one time before each game. That's a lot more bunts practiced over the course of the season than before one game.

SOX vs. Angels 5-30-05
QUOTE(AirScott @ May 30, 2005 -> 09:27 PM) I guess you're referring to me. which I'm not, but like I've said three times now, you even need to practice bunts. I bet a bunt from Frank Thomas would look the same way, because when was the last time he bunted (his would probably be a lot worse). Now, you're comparing Crede to someone who hasn't played in a MLB game in almost a year? Not only that, Crede is the number 9 hitter, not the all-time franchise home run leader. Crede definitely has been asked to bunt before, and I think he's done a pretty solid job in the past.

Maybe Ozzie might want to try hit-and-runs with PK at the plate and decent speed on the bases. If not, we're just begging for a double play.
