  1. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ May 11, 2005 -> 08:16 PM) We get the point. Timo sucks. Is that for me or Ozzie? Until Timo stops making stupid mistakes in seemingly every game he plays in, there will be a lot of people on here b****ing about him.
  2. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ May 11, 2005 -> 08:13 PM) El Duque is at 85 pitches. This better be his last at bat since we need to keep him injury free Give Botch, Vizcaino and Walker the 7/8/9 unless hell breaks loose in one of them It's still a 4 run game. Tampa has made similar leads disappear quickly already this series. El Duque has been cruising lately....I'm sure he'll start the next inning.
  3. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ May 11, 2005 -> 08:11 PM) Even if Frank gets healthy we better upgrade one other position offensively. I would have to say 3B if Crede shows his earlier streak was a fluke Sorry, but Crede's not going anywhere. He's cheap, plays good defensive, and is hitting near .300 right now. He's one of the last players on our team I think deserves to be in hot water (even though I'm sick of the weak pop ups he hits).
  4. The thing is, what does Timo have to do in order to lose his spot on our roster? He's having a terrible season all around.
  5. QUOTE(T R U @ May 11, 2005 -> 08:09 PM) unreal it seems like every time I see the Sox get the bases loaded they never get anything out of it From my viewpoint, it's because people try to hit a grand slam instead of just trying to hit a sac fly or hit a liner somewhere. Timo had some good pitches to hit there, but he swung out of his ass......again.
  6. Well.....that's a great way to keep them in the game. Pathetic at-bat by our supposed 1-2-3 hitters in the order.
  7. Timo has been up 3 times this season in which he simply needed to make contact, and he has failed each time. He's a piece of s***.
  8. Uribe should have been tagging there. That's just a terrible AB by Iguchi, and terrible baserunning.
  9. Ozuna just seems to always do the right thing out there. He also seems much faster to me than Willie Harris.
  10. I'd like to officially say that Keith Foulke is done with. He just blew another game for the Red Sox. His ERA is 7 now, and his fastball is in the 85mph range. Reminds me of someone else I know.
  11. QUOTE(quickman @ May 11, 2005 -> 07:58 PM) So true fathom, our attitude changes with the inning ..the batter. its normal stuff for passionate fans Thing is, the Sox could win 20 games in a row, but if we then lost a game in which we should have won, but there were dumb decisions made by the players or manager, then I'm going to be negative about the game. If we clinch the AL Central with a month left to go, I promise you won't hear a single negative word out of my mouth (unless Ozzie overuses the pitchers).
  12. Exactly what we need Duque. Lets keep the quality AB going here.
  13. QUOTE(quickman @ May 11, 2005 -> 07:53 PM) its a board, they can post anytime they want, life is not full of sunshine. I would rather have someone with an atitude than nothign at all. Sox fans are completely different than Cub fans. Steff you are invested in this club, you know people and you like it like that. I don't nor do I care to know the players. Just win, just play hard. The thing is, it's a gamethread. Look at any gamethread on any other site. There's going to be a lot of positive and negative posts during nearly every single game. I'm fairly confident that we're all Sox fans on here.
  14. Something we can all agree on.....El Duque, please don't allow them to score this inning!
  15. QUOTE(traydragen @ May 11, 2005 -> 07:53 PM) I was just thinking that exact same thing LosBlancas. Well, they did hit back-to-back homers in the 2nd game of the season against Wickman to tie the game.
  16. Thank you Lou Pinella for leaving Brazelton out there to die.
  17. Excellent swing by Konerko there. Finally, someone just went with the pitch and lined it to the opposite field. Well done PK.
  18. I'm going to cry if I see a routine flyout by PK here.
  19. Even though Iguchi hit that ball hard, not sure he shouldn't have been taking there?
  20. QUOTE(KWs OK for Me @ May 11, 2005 -> 07:41 PM) And Timo walks, see he can do something positive . . . occasionally I'll wait to see his baserunning this inning before I comment on that
  21. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ May 11, 2005 -> 07:40 PM) Have there been ANY ground outs? It seems like they're using the Joe Crede 2003 Pop-Up Edition Bats. I believe that was the first ball that the infield even touched before.
  22. Great speed by Ozuna there. It was very close to being a collision.
