  1. Simply terrible baserunning by Timo there. That ball was a pretty routine play by Hudson.
  2. Amazing that we won this game.
  3. Shingo can't come close to throwing an offspeed pitch over the plate right now.
  4. Huge catch by Rowand out there!
  5. 2 runs without a hit that inning for the Sox. Is Contreras going to start the 9th?
  6. Hairston easily should have caught Lee's blooper.
  7. HAHA! Cubs lose on a blooper by Lee.
  8. Interesting decision to use Burke instead of Widger there. Widger's had enough quality AB lately to prove to me he's a threat at the plate.
  9. Should we ph for A.J. here? Widger might have a better chance against Sisco than a lefty would.
  10. Sox haven't had a runner reach 2nd base today. Greinke has still faced the minimum.
  11. At least we know in the 8th inning that we have guys who will be swinging for the fences. Maybe one of them can get lucky!!
  12. I'm very impressed with how Castillo is catching Greinke.
  13. This is getting sickening. Greinke looks good, but we're adding to it by swinging at all of his bait pitches.
  14. All you have to do against the Sox is throw a 3-2 offspeed pitch, and it seems you'll strike them out all the time. Doesn't it seem that way?
  15. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 5, 2005 -> 07:33 PM) Damn, good bunt by scott but a very good play by teahan Against the Royals, you need to bunt that at their 1b. Harvey is clueless on defense.
  16. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ May 5, 2005 -> 07:31 PM) Ex Sox Gary Glover on pace for a win vs the Cubs...up 4-3 in the bottom of the 8th It's 4-4 in the bottom of the 8th.
  17. QUOTE(JimH @ May 5, 2005 -> 07:30 PM) Bad call by the 1st base ump. He swung on that for sure, what is that ump looking at? He didn't go on that one....but we've sure got some crappy calls this year on check swings. That Everett against Seattle call still pisses me off.
  18. The funny thing is that Graffy barely swung on that pitch, he just made nice level contact. Compare his swing with some of the junk we've seen from Rowand, Crede, and Konerko today.....and you can really see a difference.
  19. f***. Well, we weren't going to win if we didn't score a run today.
  20. Back to swinging for the fences it seems today. Crede had a great pitch to drive to right center before, but tried to pull it, resulting in a lazy fly. Tough inning for Contreras coming up here.
  21. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 5, 2005 -> 07:08 PM) Does Castillo look exactly like Lima or is that just me? I was thinking the same exact thing. It's too bad Castillo isn't Lima's personal catcher.
  22. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ May 5, 2005 -> 07:04 PM) Recurring theme? Anyone know what the most amount of hits we have in one game this season?
  23. Worst AB of the season there for Rowand. Right now, against rhp, I don't like having Konerko and Rowand being consecutive batters in the order. However, Ozzie's in a tough situation with so many guys slumping.
  24. Good throw by A.J. there. Whenever you can avoid Contreras pitching out of the stretch, you're helping him out.
