It’s insane how much they’re stressing velocity stuff at even the youngest levels of travel ball. I know of a prominent 10u team that will pull you if you’re not at least at 50 mph on the mound.

You might be able to get prime Damaso Marte for those guys.

But that’s why they like Correa...he’s young enough where he should be able to still be good when Davis and others are ready. Personally I think Correa will age poorly...and I just think he’s an asshole

Maybe the Sox don’t think the reports line up with how he mentally handles discomfort? This is a guy who said he was healthy the last few months of the season, yet his velocity disappeared.

That ship has sailed IMO. Not sure any of us would want him on the contract he’s going to get.

Sox will still have a higher payroll. Correa to the Cubs as a strong possibility has been known for months. That organization has loved him for a decade.
