It all seems pretty simple if you step back. Jerry wants to wait until he knows what the CBA is until spending significant money. Only reason Graveman was signed was to give them peace of mind for when they discuss Kimbrel over the lockout.

There seems to be some speculation by fake insiders that Correa might get a massive deal from the Angels. Also, sounds like Baez won’t be going to the Mets and the Tigers or Red Sox are more likely.

Just feels there’s a significant number of teams that are content waiting until lockout is over. The Padres are usually the most active team and haven’t done anything. Same for Yankees, Dodgers, etc.

Would have been way worse if other teams were super active today. It really was only Seager and Ray that signed today.
