the sox have been spoiled with great catchers in the past years (FISK, Ronnie, OLIVO) we be alright even if kenny doesnt trade for one, sandy is one of the best pitch callers in the MLB he knows batters he is a vetren....maybe his arm is a little weak but his avg is decent and he can be clutch....we are not that deep in a hole just because olivo is gone....i know thats why you posted this.....olivo will be a great catcher, but he wasnt a great catcher yet when he was playing for us he had the arm and defense sandy lacks with age, sandy has the pitch calling and knowledge olivo didnt....knowing a batter and getting him out at the plate is better then letting him get on base and throwing him out at 2nd...i miss big mo too but i am sick of waiting for the future it seems like thats what we do every year I WANT IT NOW

since i have been 3 years old i have watched baseball, and since then when a player cranks a ball whoever it is admirers it....it could be rey ordonez.....this is totally not a new thing...its not like he is bustin out a cell phone after he hits it.....i mean ok the sosa hop is a little over the edge especially when he does it when he flys out....sammy just has a huge head.....but if you knock one out i say go ahead and stare it down for a few seconds as long as its goin out and you know it so you are not a jack ass when its caught.....

i dont think ozzie is even gonna think about takin the chance with maggs in the field he might do some whackey s*** with his lineup (gload) but he is not that stupid he wants another ring

if frank is on the DL get him that surgery now, we need all the help from the break we can get....franks comments were that it basically hurt like hell and something like his power comes from his ankle haha but anyway it seems like he wants the surgery so might as well get it over with now....lets pray Joe steps it up

I hate to say it, but thats the way with baseball now....if you want to be a season to season contender you have to fill your needs no matter how much money you have to spend.....its sorta the leagues fault for having a salary cap where you just have to pay off other teams if you go over

well lets see here i better tune in on this subject, the idea of giving the ball to a youngster is a great one....gets ya some good karma points too.....but the one time i WOULD throw the ball back was if I was at Wrigley (of course i would only be there if they were playing DA SOX) and it was hit by Sterosa or any of those other "NO TALENT ASSCLOWNS." Oh man how i love that term....or possibly at Comiskey when roid rage hit it....i would get arrested for that it would be worth it, but i would make sure to hit sammy as he was rounding second...(i got a rocket like that kid in rookie of the year)

Looks like he is getting figured out or he is definatly to scared to pitch inside unlike last year....he is askin for big money next year....if he thinks he deserves it he better pitch like he deserves it the 2nd half of the season....

well, with maggs coming back and thomas going down timo has earned his spot as the DH, his offense is turnin it around and I hope ozzie thinks the same way I do, were gonna miss thomas dearly, cause since 90 when he was an everyday man in our lineup our offense surges when he is hot and fails when he is not (perfect example in this month of July since he hurt his ankle)....who do you guys think we should have in that DH spot?
