Barons lose 4-3. Zavala had their only hit, a single, in a non scoring inning. Baseball can be weird. All the affiliates lost so I am in the penalty box . Someone else starts tomorrow’s thread.

Thanks for clarifying. I obviously didn’t check their math. I don’t care who they take or what it costs as long as they are really good. I imagine most or many drafts the 1-1 draftee doesn’t end up with the greatest career of that draft. As long as our pick does have the best career, I will be fine lol.

soxmachine has an article where Cholowsky's performance by day of the week was scary. Basically, Tue is inferior comp and Fri is best starter on opposing team for a 3 game series. Serious lack of performance on Fri compared to other days and Tue significantly better.

Anyone is tradable. Only Sox first baseman I couldn't see trading would have been prime Frank Thomas. Mune isn't Frank Thomas. Hope he becomes that impactful but right now it is still a small sample size. If we are debating or hesitating about it in two months, he has been really good which is great. Perhaps you approach about an extension though I don't see JR going there. If he continues to do well I might feel better about higher dollar and shorter term but I don't see JR doing that.
