There's still 2 roster spots being occupied by s***ty, old, injury prone players. The "kids" won't be called up until they're gone, which I doubt will be anytime soon. Mackowiak's departure clears the way for no one but Erstad.

Well, this kind of sucks. Apparently the Yankees have agreed in principle to send Proctor to the Dodgers for Wilson Betemit. He's going to be a pretty damn good player, it's a shame it will have to happen in New York.
