Except I highly doubt that Stone would even accept the job if it were offered to him, I really don't think he wants to be a full time broadcaster again, especially along side Hawk. He has a pretty sweet gig right now relaxing on his property in Arizona calling into the Score a couple times a week, maybe doing an ESPN broadcast every now and then pulling in checks from both. If anything he'll take a front office job somewhere he's not going back to the booth.

Boone Logan : lefties :: Ehren Wasserman : Righties Right handed hitters are 1-20 this year against Ehren though he has walked 2 of them so righties are putting up a .180 OPS against him in 23 chances. So if Ozzie could somehow control himself and try to limit Logan to facing lefties and Wasserman to righties this team could have 2 deadly specialists.

Jim Barr retired 41 consecutive hitters in 1972, which is still the record to date. What Bobby is doing right now is called a "Hidden Perfect Game" - retiring 27 consecutive batters over multiple appearances - Shingo had one in 2004.

I just noticed Bobby Jenks is in inning number 11 of a hidden perfect game. After 2 batters reached with one out on the July 17th game Vs the Indians Bobby retired the next 2 hitters. This was the start of a 32 hitter hidden perfect game that has spanned 11 outings. Over this stretch he has retired all 32 batters he has faced, 10 of them via the strikeout and has recorded 7 saves, including 2 in one day. Congrats Bobby on this unheralded but incredibly impressive accomplishment.

After the s*** Josh Towers pulled today, I hope he never pitches in the majors again. Of course him being one of the worst starters in the game since the start of the '06 season should take care of that. You don't f***ing hit someone in the knee and if you do you don't walk towards the plate pointing towards first base. It's a damn shame Larry Bowa didn't rip his f***ing head off.
