  1. QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 14, 2006 -> 10:39 PM) Garcia may be average but he is 14-6. Why does he HAVE to go? Because he's a very bad pitcher and his record is incredibly misleading much like a lot of starting pitcher's W/L record. Freddy Garcia is BAD, BAD, BAD, BAD, BAD, BAD . . . and so on.
  2. QUOTE(BearSox @ Sep 14, 2006 -> 08:27 PM) no one loves Ryan Sweeney more then me. hell, we were both born on feb. 20. It is a sign! And I don't care who leads off to be honest with you, as long as they can get on base, and steal the occasional base. And Sweeney has never really done either of those on a consistent basis especially base stealing.
  3. QUOTE(T R U @ Sep 14, 2006 -> 07:55 PM) This is true but I told you they would come down which they have and ide say its more likely they dont finish first than it is they do.. I still you man I should know better than to doubt you or anything you say. Some people just have a habit of being right all the time.
  4. QUOTE(T R U @ Sep 14, 2006 -> 02:48 PM) I was! In your face Kalapse, I told you They're still in first place.
  5. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Sep 14, 2006 -> 09:31 AM) hmmm, i thought he was restricted at least. There's no such thing as a restricted free agent in baseball and Crawford is locked up through 2010.
  6. QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 08:45 PM) Do you think Oz will fine Iguchi or bench him or were the baserunning gaffes not laziness, just something bizarre??? The first one by Iguchi was brought on by a total lack of hustle the second one on the other hand is still a mystery to us all. If Ozzie really wanted to get the point across he would have benched Iguchi immediately. You know for a manager who preaches hustle and playing the game the right way, his players sure seem to lack both.
  7. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 05:42 PM) Iguchi mishap?! What happened? Tadahito for a brief period of time seemed to be afraid of homeplate.
  8. QUOTE(daa84 @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 05:15 PM) i listened to those angels announcers in the first 2 games of the series....they are by far the best ive heard all year Rex Hudler is the most annoying human being on the face of the earth.
  9. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 04:53 PM) Rex Hudler is a crazy mofo. Is he back on the junk?
  10. There havn't been any great defensive plays made in this game which is pretty unusual considering the circumstances.
  11. QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 04:48 PM) Is that Timo I see at first? Oh, no? It's Jerry Owens? Same difference. Owens is faster and has a much weaker arm, he's also not hispanic.
  12. Good to see Pauly go to right a few times in this game.
  13. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 04:42 PM) Given our general manager....the only thing that would surprise me is to not be surprised. (Did I just blow your mind?!?!?!) Yes, yes you did. Seriously though, what offseason move would actually surprise any of you? With all this said I am definately cheering for the guy for many reasons, I just have that small pessimistic feeling that something like this could possibly keep him around for another year, no matter how remote the possibility.
  14. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 04:39 PM) You really believe Williams would keep a player based on one performance? Really? I think you need to give him more credit than that. Honestly, after the way this season has gone, nothing involving the personel of this team could possibly surprise me. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 04:41 PM) Freddy has made the corner of ESPNEWS. Its big time now. They had that up after 6 IP.
  15. It's more about giving KW and Ozzie any reason to retain the guy. I love the fact that he's got the perfect game and I will most likely jump up and down screaming if he gets it but I just never want to see him pitch for the Sox ever again beyond October of 2006. Of course a perfect game could also help his trade value which I like very much.
  16. QUOTE(longshot7 @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 04:36 PM) Are you saying you're actively rooting AGAINST a White Sox player to throw a perfect game?? I never said that, I said I was torn. If he gets the perfect game I will be as happy as any other Sox fan. I just really don't like the guy as a player and would rather not give Ozzie/KW any reason to retain him beyond this year.
  17. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 04:34 PM) Wow. I hope you are kidding. Why? If you really think that post will cause him to allow a baserunner then you're completely disconnected from reality.
  18. I have no problem "jinxing him". You can spare of those posts.
  19. Am I the only one who's extremely torn when it comes to Garcia's possible perfect game? I mean he is a White Sox player and all but this is more of a personal accomplishment and I really dislike Freddy Garcia, he is without a doubt my least favorite player on this team (outside of Podsednik) and I'd rather he not be one of the worst pitchers ever to pitch a perfect game.
  20. QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 03:49 PM) Thats not the point. The point is that people seem to think Ozzie is one of the worst managers in the league. If other managers are doing these sorts of things, do you really think that Ozzie is still one of the worst? Just because other managers also make bad moves doesn't make Ozzie any better of a manager. Soscia's use of Romero as a LOOGY right there wasn't a great move but it wasn't a horrible one either, Ozzie has done much worse including yesterday's game.
  21. HAHA, Konerko goes oppo with a double to right center scoring yourmainguy.
  22. QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 03:43 PM) And again, if Ozzie did it, people would be calling for his head. And rightfully so.
  23. So they used Romero as a LOOGY in the 4th inning and he allowed a sac fly. Nice.
