  1. QUOTE(scotty22hotty @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 12:00 AM) another great game by Pods It will be a beautiful day in the city of Chicago when that useless scrub is finally dismissed. It should be fun watching Pods Blak™ blow ass in the leadoff spot in '07 and beyond.
  2. Am I the only one that noticed Konerko's bat was still on his shoulder when that final pitch crossed over the heart of the plate?
  3. I'm still shocked he took that last pitch. That right there is incredibly representative of the way this team has been playing. QUOTE(tealeafreaderii @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:55 PM) I'm convinced Y'all willed that K. Thanks. No, thank you Kotex boy.
  4. What a horrendous way to end a ballgame. WOW
  5. QUOTE(SoxHawk1980 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:49 PM) I'd better not in the thread. If you want an explanation, PM me. Any negative threads get closed, that's our policy, you must stay positive and optimistic at all times or suffer the consiquences. Please ignore the number of threads currently in PHT that have a negative tone they do not count.
  6. How unclutch of Thome.
  7. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:47 PM) You know your going to miss that face...... Actually I'm going to miss that ass more than anything.
  8. This is going to be quick.
  9. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:43 PM) If Street comes in, I'd rather see Gload face him than Iguchi. Sadly the one guy I'd love to see face Street was pinch hit for last inning.
  10. Well, boone made that look easy.
  11. QUOTE(mr_genius @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:39 PM) sign Pierre in left i know thats now a popular idea, but i think the guy could have some good years here Funny because he's been pretty horrible in the National League. Should be fun watching another puss armed s*** fielder out there in LF again next season. And Brandon looked damn good tonight. Good for him.
  12. Well, this b**** is just about over.
  13. Brandon looks G-O-O-D. Everything is being hit softly on the ground, I love it.
  14. QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:31 PM) there are a lot more potential 5th starters out there than speedy outfielders. What does your rotation look like?
  15. Wow, just wow. DID NOT SEE THAT COMMING.
  16. QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:29 PM) so do you want dave roberts in lf then? young SPing is no rarer than a 20 homer 60 steal 300 hitting leadoff man. Then what the hell would the rotation look like next year? If you trade McCarthy suddenly '07's rotation begins to look a lot like the Cubs'. Minus a dominant starter like Zambrano.
  17. Fantastic, here comes Douchenmeyer to mow down the rest of this pathetic lineup.
  18. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:26 PM) Nice to know I wasn't the only one who noticed that. He seemed deeply depressed when he started this inning. Perhaps he knows that Anderson blows ass against lefties.
  19. This is a shocking turn of events. Anderson and Kennedy?
  20. Is there even a remote chance the Sox can get to Douchenmeyer?
  21. Brandon is pitching well this inning, it's a damn shame that it's not working out . If he can be even remotely effective the rest of the way . . .
  22. Boone and Riske up in the pen. Brandon was pissed off on the radio this morning and looks the same on the mound right now, he's just not happy at all with the way he's been pitching of late and I love it. ugh
  23. QUOTE(S720 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:08 PM) Please remember Frank was NO WHERE in the first half. If you took Thome out and replaced him with Frank in the first half, forget about it. Even with Frank's current hot bat, it will not be enough for us to catch up. Actually . . . 4/3/06 - 5/21/06: .178/.300/.373/.673, 7 HR, 20 RBI 5/22/06 - 7/10/06: .312/.445/.708/1.154, 12 HR, 26 RBI 5/22 = Jon Garland launch fest. 7/10 = All-Star Break.
  24. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 10:52 PM) Someone asked me this question the other day, and I wasn't sure what the answer would be: would the Sox have been better this year if they would have basically kept last year's team in tact? Well it's likely the pitching would have performed the same way they did to start this year, now could last year's offense carry this team for 5 months of the season like it has this year? Would Frank have the same motivation to succeed that he does with the A's, would he have stayed healthy? How would the clubhouse attitude work with KW/Ozzie/Frank coexisting for the entire season seeing how they seemingly hate eachother? Would Crede and Dye be having the year they're having with Thomas/Everett in the lineup as opposed to Thome? It is an interesting topic regardless.
  25. QUOTE(bunkerf16 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 10:45 PM) who blows bubbles running home? never seen that before.. Pablo Ozuna was blowing a bubble during his walk off bunt base hit against the A's at the Cell earlier this year.
