  1. QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 10:05 PM) gio? honel? When do you expect this to happen. And once again if you say this season or next in Gio's case I'll hit you in the mouth.
  2. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 09:59 PM) I clarified that he sucks right now and that it doesn't mean he'll always suck. But it can't be argued, he certainly sucks right now. I'd also trade him, but I would've traded him even before I'd ever seen him pitch. That's because I don't put any stock into prospects because they don't always turn out. Oh f***, Walker is warming. If Ozzie brings him in and he blows it, Ozzie isn't thinking. You can't just say he sucks right now. He shouldn't even be in the big leagues, he's a AA pitcher in the Majors, WTF do you expect from him. You can say he shouldn't be on the team and that he's not ready, just don't say he sucks.
  3. I love the way a lot of you have given up on a 21 year old pitcher who pitched last year at AA. Send him down to Birmingham and let him develope properly instead of rushing him along because he was good in spring training. He is our #1 prospect for a reason. He is not a bust (yet). The s*** that has been said tonight about how he sucks and how we should trade him now while some "stupid team might still trade for him" is just pathetic. It's unbelievable how reactionary a lot of you are, it's really f***ing sad. I'm Done.
  4. QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 07:55 PM) damnit, ive done a s*** load of voting just to see him in third place :lolhittingl The results that were posted above were that of an online poll conducted by ESPN.com/thepulse. They are not a reflection of the actual voting for the 32nd man which is being conducted by MLB.com.
  5. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 09:04 PM) did that dude ever sign with a team or no? I was looking forward to him. I don't think he did. The guy wanted a lot of money. EDIT:

  15. QUOTE(FGarcia34 @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 01:18 AM) I just found this on the SF Giants MLB.com messageboard: SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- Jason Schmidt was traded from the San Francisco Giants to the Chicago White Sox, a blockbuster deal Monday that further bolstered the White Sox revamped rotation The Texas Rangers, Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees were rumored to be pursuing Schmidt, but the White Sox swooped in and got the Giant ace for Shortstop Juan Uribe , pitcher Jose Contreras and prized prospect Brandon Mccarthy. Schmidt's now-former teammate J.T. Snow spoke in an interview with ESPN Radio. "The two of us had lockers next to each other for the last 4 years," Snow said. "You kind of figure something like this is going to happen, but it's not as much about losing a guy on your team, it's about losing one of your best friends." I dont know where it came from but it looks legit unless someone is a very clever troll. Kinda funny how they went in alphabetical order when deciding what player to use for the quote. Schmidt - Snow. Why would J.T. "figure something like this is going to happen"? That makes absolutely no sense at all. The White Sox rotation is revamped? Contreras and Garcia have been on the team for a year now and Mark and Jon have been here since 2000. The only real new guy is Duke. Not even a good attempt to troll if you look closely enough.
  16. QUOTE(letsgoarow @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 01:11 AM) the astros fans didnt like that we told the other boards to do the same.... .click on the link on the first page.... they are pissed off It was probably a couple guys from WSI who went to the Phillies board, they have a hard on for Myers.

  19. QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 11:38 PM) I wouldnt put contreras in the pen, id put el duque in the pen if anybody theres always room for more bmacs, if we get rid of him its no the end of the world, someone else will step it up in the minors "lance broadway" Might I ask who? And if you say Lance Broadway I'll hit you in the mouth.
  20. QUOTE(wsox08 @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 11:16 PM) Let's go McCarthy... We need you as a #5 tomorrow.... If he has his stuff working, that's a big if, then he can be great like in the minors.. He's sucked in the minors this year.
  21. Not to toot my own horn. Halladay: QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 1, 2005 -> 12:37 PM) 2005 Statistical Breakdow, Buehrle Vs. Halladay. Halladay - W:11, L:4, ERA:2.4, CG:5, SHO:2, H:107, BB:16, SO:98, WHIP:0.94, OPSA:.577, BAA:.222, K/BB:5.44, BB/9:1.10, K/9:6.73, H9:7.35 Buehrle - W:10, L:1, ERA:2.42, CG:2, SHO:1, H:110, BB:17, SO:79, WHIP:1.04, OPSA:.594, BAA:.242, K/BB:4.16 BB/9:1.25, K/9: 5.80, H9:8.07 I'm just wondering if anyone can look at these stats and tell me that Buehrle is more deserving than Halladay. It's ultra close in EVER SINGLE category. So it really is a toss up, however if you really want the more deserving pitcher to start you have to go with Halladay. Just for the record as a Sox fan I would love to see Buehrle start the AS game but as a Baseball fan I just can't rationalize it. IROD:
